3 Stars Great TV Picture But Otherwise Flawed
Great picture on strong over the air tv signal but will not pick up weak signals that other digital tuners I have do easily. It has a large selection of inputs (including 2 HDMI, male and female vga and component) for an entry level LCD. Unfortunately I have not been able to get a decent picture in component input mode even though the picture is fine on over the air tv. In component mode the color is way off (totally magenta) and does not want to change despite attempts to correct using menus and tint and color intensity controls.
This is not a slim LCD (its over 3″ thick) by any strech of the imagination nor can it be mounted snuggly to the wall because the connectors on the back, including the power connector, stick out about 2 inches past the back of the cabinet -a really poor design! For contrast check out the Coby on which the connectors are in a recess and pointed down, inset into and in parallel with the back panel. With the LG, if you use a thin wall mount you will need to space it about 2″ out from the TV back to allow room for those connnectors to clear the wall. There are much better choices out there and I regret making this one.
5 Stars Great, easy set up, fast delivery !
I ordered this TV yesterday, and recieved it today. Only paid $10.00 for delivery!
It works great and was easy to set up.
Price was right. Beat Best Buy’s price and the service was MUCH better than Best Buy too!
5 Stars Very Satisfying!
I bought this set about 4 months ago and have had no problems. I normally use it connected to my DirecTV box but I’ve also connected it to my laptop to access wireless as well as wired Internet Netflix. No problems whatsoever. The user interface is friendly. I most appreciate the energy savings feature! Thanks LG
5 Stars Great TV at a great price
We purchased this television a few months ago for our bedroom and have really liked it. Very clean and sharp image quality. We like the sound quality as well. We have this television connected to a DVD player and our cable box and haven’t had any issues. When we purchase our next television we’ll buy from LG. The only complaint I have is we purchased it at a best buy and it is cheaper here at Amazon.
5 Stars Expensive but Awesome
We bought this TV to place in our kitchen. We had no problems mounting it to the wall. Remote is easy to use.
Unit was able to detect analog and digitial cable feeds right out of the box. Picture is decent when looking at analog cable. But this unit really shines when it comes to a digital hidef channel. Picture is ultra crisp and rivals my 42 inch plasma in the family room. Sound is pretty good considering the our particular application in the kitchen.

5 Stars Great Bedroom/kitchen TV
This is a great little hdtv for any bedroom or kitchen for its size!
I was however, a little worried about the sound quality from other reviews I had read about this particuar model. After having it for a week I have found these bad reviews of the sound quality to be unfounded. The sound quality is excellent and plenty loud enough for a smaller room. The #1 feature of this set is the quality of the picture in brightly lit rooms. I have not seen another flat screen that handles light reflection as well as LG’s. I am considering buying a second one to use for my desktop computer as it has a RGB input as well!!!
4 Stars Good purchase
Decent tv for the price, the settings to adjust color and picture aren’t difficult to use but difficult to get the picture I desire. The size is okay for an average size bedroom (12 X 12) but if I had it to do over I probably would choose a 26 inch or larger.
5 Stars Great Features, Great Picture, Great Price
For those of you who want a bright, sharp HDTV packed with useful features for the bedroom, this is your set! I have used my television as an alarm clock since my college days in the 1970’s (that is not a typo!) and this television has that feature. You can wake to your favorite morning news show. Another feature that i didn’t expect and love, is touted as a “Green” feature. For all of us insomniacs out there, if you can’t sleep, and you like the “noise” of the tv, but don’t want the whole room lit up, this television has a feature that allows you to listen to the television but shut the picture. I was surprised and thrilled when I discovered this. Of course there is a sleep timer, different picture settings etc. The audio, unfortunately, leaves something to be desired. But that is the only negative I find, and it is way overshadowed by the great features of this television. I highly recommend it.

5 Stars JVC LT-42P300
I was particular impressed with the service .
I am pleased with the set .I use FIOES and the set up was a bit involved ,probably those who have no experience would not be able to set it up .
3 Stars Should have checked the features….
A leading consumer magazine listed this as a Best Buy. And I desperately needed a TV. So I bought it. It’s okay, I guess, but I should have investigated a little more in a store. Compared to my old (dead) Sharp Aquos, here’s what I’m missing:
1) PIP
2) Too much reflected light from windows
3) Whenever the source is changed, it *always* defaults to a view mode that only shows 95% of the available image. I *always* have to switch the view mode to the “right” one. No way to set a different default.
That’s it. Only using it with a PS3 (blue-ray DVD + games) and PC. But it’s not dead, at least.
5 Stars Love it so far
We have only had it a few weeks. So far we really, really, love it. The picture is perfect.
It was easy to set up. But mostly we LOVE have the ipod doc with it. !!!!
5 Stars Best value in 1080p
I have had this TV for a about 6 weeks. This TV has fantastic color and resolution.
This TV as indeed at “best buy” from a leading consumer magazine. I never considered a JVC
before. My brands were Samsung and Sony. But, after buying this JVC, I have become a big JVC fann.
Everyone who as seen this TV is amazed by the rich colors and excellent resolution.
We use a DirecTV HD box as a source as well as a Panasonic blue-ray player. Both give
perfect colors.
My next project will be to hook this TV up to a Fit-PC2 to create my own, very inexpensive
entertainment center able to play any movie any time.
I do not know what the one negative reviewer was complaining about. You can pay 2x for comparable
TV from Sony or Samsung.
I can’t say enough good things about this TV. If you buy it, I am sure you will be happy with it.
The only negative is that the styling is “unique” and takes a bit getting used to. The blue
light accents are a bit weird but, when you match it up with the blue lights on the DirectTV HD
DVR then it actually looks spectacular.

5 Stars Great TV, Great shopping experience
This is an excellent tv. It is almost $1000 dollars cheaper than best buy. Sports are extremely smooth with the 240 motion flow. Blue ray movies are unbelievable. Looks like your looking through a glass window at a live event. I would highly recommend this tv, and buying it through amazon. They are 5 star!
5 Stars Good results
The government pushed me over the edge. I tried to get their digital conversion signals, but up in the mountains of Colorado no such luck. Analog signals work just fine, but the low power HD signal was my downfall. Signed up for Dish Network HD, then I needed some HD TVs. We bought two 52XBR7 TVs and hooked them up to two Dish Network 722K DVRs. They work just great for satellite reception in HD format. Both were delivered on the date Amazon suggested. I had to do some research for the adjustments to the TVs, but once dialed in they work great. I’m very happy with this purchase experience through Amazon.
5 Stars Great Television set
After reading review after review, I was a bit skeptical with this purchase…especially since it is pretty expensive. Well this has turned out to be a very good purchase for me. I have had no problems with the blacks as some reviews mention. t.v was really heavy and hard to put up on a wall mount; but other than that, the quality of the picture is awesome. I have to add, this is my first high-def big screen and i couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I don’t have anything to compare the 240Hz to, but I can’t complain about the clarity on the screen. Great purchase, do recommend.
5 Stars Excellent 52″
This 240 hz 52″ XBR7 Sony is excellent in all respects. Wish it had a memory stick though. Easy to set up and menu is quite friendly. Not sure if the 240 hz makes a great difference over 120 hz but I like what I see. Color and definition is excellent with lots of features. Originally priced at $4M(!), within 4 months it dropped to a little less then $2.5M. Highly recommended. I have had a number of Sony XBR’s and they have all been reliable. I expect this one to be the same.
5 Stars Sony XBR7 – 52 inch
Awesome performance. A bit pricier then other this class but worth it. great with sports and movie. Mounted on wall and love it.
