3 Stars TV Not Suitable for Large Viewing Audience
I purchased this TV 1 month ago to replace a Sony Trinitron 32″ TV I have had for 20 years. It was still working and had the most beautiful picture! I am satisfied with this TV, but my main reason for rating this item low is because of the washed out look at off angle viewing. This TV has an awesome picture if you are sitting right in front of the TV. Stand off even a foot and it washes out immediately.
PROS: No sound problems; good price, easy set up
CONS: Washed out off angle viewing, lag time on start up
If I had known about the off angle viewing problem I would not have purchased this TV for my living room, maybe for my bedroom. When you have company only 1 person is getting the incredible picture that this TV does have. I also find it amazing that only 1 other reviewer mentioned this problem. But once again, for the price, with the Blu Ray DVD player and free shipping, it was a decent purchase for a bedroom (maybe). Oh and I did not get white glove service, they did unpack the TV and plug it in and left me with the clean up mess and hook up to do.
1 Star A miserable experience
My 32 inch Samsung LCD was great for five months then died a spectacular death. While watching it one day, a huge spark arced out of the top of the TV, and it was absolutely dead. That was the start of my trouble as warranty service was horrendous. I made nearly two dozen phone calls to Samsung, their warranty service contractor and the various technicians. Scheduled service visits would result in no one showing up. It took nearly a month and a half to get replacement parts installed. I’ll never buy a Samsung product again.
5 Stars Amazing TV
This is my first HDtv and was not expecting the difference to be so noticeable. Just watching the HD channels on cable you can easily see the difference in sharpness and contrast. This is not just for sports but everything. If you have a PS3, this is a must. Has made me go back to play old games just because they look so beautiful.
Warning.. Out of the box the settings are not quite optimal, and it does make standard digital broadcasts look pretty bad, but it definitely benefited from calibrating. You can either search for someone else’s settings on google or use a calibration device.
5 Stars Might as well get the best
After comparing to the 32 inch samsung from the 3 series below and to comparable lg 32 inch sets I made my decision and went with this. I couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking around and this is in your options, don’t waste your time spend a little extra for a tv you know you’ll be happy with.
3 Stars Not bad for under $500
For the price this is a nice tv. I have a 1080p Samsung and there is a difference in picture quality compared to this 720p. The colors are brighter and crisper in the 1080p, but the picture is ok in 720p.The only problem is you must look at picture straight on, because from side angle you see a picture but it has very little color. This tv is made for a small bedroom, because factory sound is not to loud

5 Stars loyal Samsung purchaser
I began with a Samsung cell phone several years ago and have stayed with them. So. . . I chose a Samsung for my new TV. So far it’s great.
5 Stars Just the right amount of TV for those who hardly watch
It was with reluctance that I moved into the 21st Century of TVs. Managed to do so just before June 12th. Now that we have this set we actually watch it more often than the old (13″) one. We use a roof-top antenna and finally can watch the local PBS station. All the old stations, with the exception of one, now come in very well. The pictures are very clear. Had to play around with the setup, but I managed quite well and am satisfied. We do not have cable TV.
1 Star Worked through the 90 day warrenty, then…
This TV worked like a charm until about a week after its 90 day warranty. Then it began to randomly shut itself off (3-4 times in an hour) with the only method for turning it back on being to unplug it from the wall, wait 10sec, and replug. It might just be this one set but this ordeal has put a sour taste in my mouth. I won’t be buying a Samsung TV again.
5 Stars beautiful television
I purchase this television two weeks ago and love the picture. I put it in my kitchen and it definitely serves its purpose. I’m usually a Sony purchaser-and still am-but I thought this would be a great looking television for my kitchen. It was definately worth the money for its purpose.
4 Stars Samsung LN22B460
I just purchased the Samsung LN22B460 and am very pleased with this product. The previous reviews I read were very accurate. The picture is very clean and the colors are great, especially in HD. If not viewing HD channels it is very easy to adjust the colors to get the picture you’re looking for. The set up was very easy. Just open the box and plug it in. With not much reading you can figure out how to set up the colors, channel selection, sound, etc.
The sound is not terrible like some of the other reviews stated but it could have a little more bottom end to give it a boost. I’ll probably buy speakers to add on as I don’t have it set up through a sound system.
I’ve owned several Samsung’s over the years and feel that they put out a great product.
All in all I would highly recommend this t.v.
Samsung UN40B6000 40 Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV
Samsung UN40B6000 40 Inch 1080p 120 Hz LED HDTV

The brilliant Samsung LED TV experience starts with the UN40B6000. Its incredible mega contrast provides blacker blacks and whiter whites along with enriched color expression. Its ultra-slim 1.2″ depth is the slimmest HDTV yet, and that includes the tuner! The exclusive touch of color design complements any room, and infolink puts up to date information right at your fingertips. Best yet, Samsung LED TVs use 40% less power than conventional LCDs.

1 Star waste of money!
i went thru 4 sets from bestbuy and all had a terrable buzzing noise coming from the back of the tv. it also has a very poor viewing angle. move left or right the picture washes out. also the led lights made it hard to get natural skin tones on the screen every persons face was to bright no matter what setting the tv was on or how i ajjusted the setting. my samsung 40a650 does not have any of these issues. i took the fourth set back and got the samsung ln46b750 , this set beats the led in every aspect. the blacks are better the white is not overly done and skin tones look natural. c.net also rated the 750b series better then the samsung edge lite led tv’s.
5 Stars Outstanding TV
This TV is incredible, especially with Blurays. The 40 inch model is the perfect size for a medium sized bedroom. Very user friendly. No complaints.
3 Stars tinny sounds
I currently own a samsung 40″ lcd…and i love the Tv. But as i read your reviews,i also seem to agree that on most samsungs, the sound just doesnt “cut it” so to speak. I quickly purchased a Samsung Sound bar, which is fantastic. Ive been looking at the new led that samsung is now promoting, but again ive heard issues with the tinny sound. Hopefully samsung can work out this minor problem, cause they do make a great looking tv.
1 Star Incessant Buzzing Noise
I am about to return my second TV; both were plagued with the same horrible buzzing noise. This noise was only present if a video signal was live, and appeared to be related to backlight strength (set it dimmer and it’s quiet, set it for normal viewing and it sounds like you’re watching a movie from within a tanning bed).
5 Stars it is an awsome TV, I love it.
The LED is the way to go. it is way better than the LCD. The picture quality is stunning both on HD and regular channels. IT is a very good buy.
