4 Stars Installation manual could have been better
Solid construction and worked great with my Bravia 52w3000. The price was a bit steep for what it was (maybe that’s for all flat panel mounts) but it fit perfectly. The instruction manual didn’t have the right info for my TV as it was newer, but it was readily available on the Sony website. My beef was that the instruction manual could have been much clearer. it stated that the screws should be 8mm or larger but don’t believe 8mm screws fit the holes in the brackets. Also, the measurement guidelines could have been better although my installation ended up fine.

5 Stars Sony SUWL500 Wall Mount Bracket
At first I thought this product was too pricey, however, it was well worth the money. I did not have any problem installing the bracket and the t.v. I purchased other brackets before this and when I got it home I ran into problems immediately such as not having the right screws or the bracket was too confusing to install. The installation instructions for this bracket was very easy to understand and I was able to put up my t.v. within a reasonable amount of time without being overwhelmed and I did it by myself.
4 Stars Sony SUWL500 Wall Mount Bracket
We have a Sony 46″ KDL-46Z4100 and decided to use the Sony mount instead of a generic brand sold in most stores. The Sony mount was very easy to install, is black which matches the TV (most generic mounts are a silver color). For those folks needing to, or desiring to tilt their TV, this mount tilts up to 15 degrees if desired.
Once installed the total distance from the wall to the front of the TV is approximately 5 3/8″. If the studs in your wall are sixteen inches on center you should have no problem installing this wall mount. Ours were not and I was emphatic about having the TV centered in the space we selected to install the TV. Our solution was to use fasteners purchased from Home Depot called “WingIts”. The WingIts are rated to 300 lbs each in all directions and may be used in all wall substrates. They are NOT for use in ceilings, walls only. They are expensive but in my opinion worth the price. FYI: The Sony model discussed here is approximately 50 lbs.
Home Depot also sells a special WingIts drill bit which is the precise diameter needed for use with WingIts fasteners. This bit is also expensive at approximately 12.00 to be used as in my case only once or twice. But as the fasteners in my opinion the bit is worth it’s price, after all you installing a $2000.00 TV, what’s another twelve dollars to make the job safe, correct and easy.
The TV was installed two weeks ago and still hanging today so I am very comfortable with our insulation and the use of the WingIts fasteners, they do the job as advertised.
The only negative we found with the Sony wall mount were the instructions. This mount fits many Sony TV’s, from 32 inches to 46″ and there is some variance for mounting the different size TV’s which this mount accommodates. Making it more difficult the KDL-40Z4100 instructions are not in the wall mounts instillation manual which may make deciphering the instructions confusing. The good news is; Sony packages with the KDL-40Z4100 TV, the instructions for mounting the TV and installing the SUWL 500 Wall Mount Bracket.
If the instructions were clear I would have rated this mount five stars.

3 Stars Doesn’t Fit 37″ Vizio
I bought this wall mount because it claims to fit most 20″-40″ tv’s, but the bracket is not long enough for my new Vizio 37″ LCD. Compare the length of the bracket you intend to buy with the distance between the mounting screws on the back of your tv before buying. Should be at least a few inches longer for correct fit. Otherwise, this product seems to be well made.

I bought this mount based on the positive reviews that were on here. I’m glad I listened to everybody reviewing this mount! This is a great mount, that fit perfectly on my 32″ Vizio. It comes will all the necessary bolts/washers you need for various wall types and various TVs. the included instructions are straightforward and easy to understand. It took me about 30 minutes to install the mount on the wall and the brackets on the t.v.
The wall mount is about 20 to 21 inches wide, so IT WILL fit between two standard 16″ wide wall studs…The mount i received has a nice black finish and it is heavy duty.
Also, there is about a 2 1/2 inch leeway to the sides. For example, I moved my Vizio all the way to the left side of the mount as far as it can go. Once in that position, I can move the t.v. 2 1/2 inches to the right. So, if you were to center the t.v. on the mount, you would have about an 1″ or 1 1/4 inches to move each side. This was perfect for me, because i didnt want to see so the mount sticking out behind my t.v. Also, the tilt on this is easy to use and works well.
YOU cannot tell the difference between this mount and a $100/150 mount!! I know this because my brother bought a $125 mount for his Vizio, and they look the same!! I’m definitely glad i went with this product.
I also took one of the reviewers advice and purchased it through ERSE, who is listed under the MORE BUYING CHOICES. After shipping, i paid $42.00 total!!!! And ERSE shipped out the next day, so i got my mount fairly quickly!!!

I’m using this for a 42″ tv that weighs about 65lbs and it’s working great. I was skeptical of this product because of it’s low price but I took a chance and I’m glad I did.

I like laughing at friends who said they got a good deal for $125. This one works great. I have removed my 37″ INSIGNIA TV many time to run different componet wires behind the TV and through the wall. This bracket stays strong and is what I expect to pay for a hidden piece of metal mounting equipment.

Wall mount works just as advertised. Easy to put up, great fit. It isn’t that easy to tilt once you have the tv mounted, so try and get the tilt that you want before you put the tv up.
4 Stars Good value but several design flaws
I am very mechanically inclined so you can’t fault the installation. Starting out with the good. The frame is heavy duty, comes with detailed installation instructions written by a native english speaker and they have nice and tidy plastic bags labeled with all the key parts. Negatives were the tv part of the unit doesn’t really sit solidly into the wall plate until you tighten down the fastening screws. Even when it was tightened down the ridges aren’t totally aligned almost as if the CAD program had messed up the precision match of the plate to the TV bracket. The other big issue is the unit can not be easily tilted. For me this was a minor point as I have no interest in tilting it around once I set up the perfect tilt. However for some people this is a key feature and I would not buy it if that was key for you. All in a good product but I really had to manipulate the plates to get them to align properly.

This is the 3rd LCD Mount that I have purchased. And while they have all been peerless mounts this one is fantastic. It is used to mount my 52″ Samsung LCD and its perfect. The quality of the mount is excellent and the glossy powder coat is pristine.
If you have doubts about buying this mount let me put them all to rest. I would absolutely buy this mount again.
1 Star They did not include the right size bolts
Upon going through the instructions and making sure that the frame would fit to the back of the TV it became apparent rather quickly that the included bolts did not have the width to fit the holes on the back of my new Samsung Regza 42′ TV. I will have to go to the hardware store and attempt to find the right size. This is going to be a pain as it will all be guess work. So between the TV and the Hanging frame I am a bit annoyed.

Excellent product, easily handles the weight it’s rated for. Comes with plenty of different size bolts to use with almost any application but the package did not have a washer large enough for the screws I used.

As a structural engineer I have had to specify TV mounts for health care facilities I have designed in the state of California. Peerless is one of the few manufacturers to have tested mounts for seismic forces and provide pre-approved details (disclaimer: I do not believe they have this certification for this particular mount but generally lighter pieces of equipment do not require it). This gave me confidence in buying from their product line. I know from installing this and the larger version for 52″ flat panel that these mounts support quite a bit of weight, provided you get the lag screws into the center of your wood wall studs. I recommend that after you find the stud (using a stud finder, rare earth magnet, whatever you prefer) you take a small finish nail and poke it through the drywall at several locations to get the exact width extents of the stud. Your mount will cover the small holes and doing so will get you more capacity than ever necessary for an LCD (I hung off my larger one prior to putting the TV on it, 200lbs!!).
This particular mount has a zero-force tilt mechanism, meaning the TV is balanced and will not tilt down by itself when the adjustment levers are loosened. It is easy to tilt the TV up (for somewhat better access to cabling) or down as required. I prefer the mounts with the secure Allen wrench screws, which this model has (the other PT models have regular screws). The kit comes with the necessary tool for these and it is the proper length to reach behind the TV depending on the mount. It is just another level of security as the TV is not coming off the wall without the special tool.
All in all a great mount, very sturdy, and straight forward installation. Well worth the cost when bought at online prices.
1 Star This mount does not fit my 42″ Phillips LCD even though it says that it fits 23″ to 46″ models
I bought this wall mount for my 42″ Phillips LCD TV and 15 minutes later, I decided to find out what hardware came with the mount so I could purchase anything that I might need to buy before the item was delivered. I went to the manufacturer’s website and discovered that this model will not work with my TV: I ned a different model. I immediately contacted Amazon and got the usual customer assistance located in India. they may be able to speak the correct words in English but they sure as hell don’t understand what you’re saying most of the time. They informed me that the item was already being prepared for shipment and that I would have to refuse the package when it arrived from UPS since I could not cancel the order. This makes no sense to me since I called within 20 minutes of placing the order and they had not shipped the item yet. So, I sent an email to Amazon and received a response from someone in India saying the same thing that the man in India had told me. Five days later, the item shipped and it will arrive tomorrow. So now, I have to return the item (at no expense to me) to Amazon and get my credit card credited back because Amazon has this idiotic way of doing things where you can’t cancel the order after you place the order. Yes, I’m not out any money but it’s aggravating, none the less. Moral of the story: Make sure that the wall mount will fit your tv by going to the manufacturer’s site before you buy. DO NOT rely on the description from Amazon because in my case, it was incorrect.
5 Stars This one did the trick, Aquos has an odd mount patern
Bought a mount and a new Aquos. the vesa standard mount patterns are 100, 200, 400 mm, ect. this Aquos TV I bought is 440. So, I had to get a universal mount. I works great and is very well constructed, great hardware kit included and ok instructions. I had it up in a matter of minutes. How cool to have the tv on the wall.

5 Stars Solid construction, spans 3 wall studs
Just wanted to note that this wall mount does just what it says and that it has the huge advantage of being wide enough to be mounted to 3 wall studs. That provides much better support for heavy flat panels AND allows for more precise mounting when the existing stud pattern is not optimal for 2-stud placement. Lastly, the mount’s adjustability is straightforward except that the rotating part that mounts on the panel was so tight, that I needed to use a long screwdriver to pry it and get it to move. Not a big deal once I realized that it was just stubborn and not ill-designed. Very sturdy.

Purchased this wall mount for my Pioneer 60″ plasma monitor. Holds this monitor with no problem. Tilt also works as described. Great product and customer support. Would recommend.
5 Stars Sturdy, easy to adjust
Fairly easy to install, included everything but drill bit. I spent a lot of time looking for a updated mounting for my TV, but it was old. I used a toothpick to measure depth and used a spacer. Don’t waste time with the chart.
Tilt allows adjustment to prevent glare from light overhead. I didn’t think I needed this, but is really needed.
With my TV Samsung 58″, I had 4″ of up/down adjustment.
Requires 2 people to safely tilt. For the safety of the giant sheet of glass, use both hands of 2 people and gently tilt, not twist.
Lot of room to slide sideways after releasing safety screws.
Safety screws are small compared to the rest of the mount, but still more than enough.
5 Stars Very Well Made Wall Mount, Somewhat Easy to Install
I purchased two of these mounts for a 50″ and a 60″ Pioneer monitor. The Peerless website was helpful to make sure I choose the correct wall mount model # for these particular monitors. I liked the feature to adjust the screen tilt anywhere between -5 degrees to +15 degrees.
The wall mounts were sturdy and very well made. All parts were neatly packaged and well labeled. The installation instructions were straightforward and relatively easy to follow. It took about 1 hour to install each mount, with most of that time spent on picking a good wall location, deciding on a good mounting height and finding the wall studs using an electronic stud finder. For the best results, make sure that you take the time to fasten the mount to the center of the wall studs and that the mount is perfectly level.
One issue came up that was not addressed in the installation manual. There are two parallel sliding tracks on each bracket that attaches to the TV/monitor. These sliding tracks are used to adjust the screen tilt. The instructions discuss a manual tension adjustment on one of these tracks using a built-in ratchet handle. The tension on the second track was too tight and needed to be adjusted but the instructions did not discuss this. I neded to use a 3mm hex head driver and a small wrench to make this adjustment.
One other minor issue is a reference in the instructions to a screen compatibility chart on the Peerless website that is out of date (June, 2006 was the last update).
Overall, I would recommend this product.

Buy 1/4 x 4′ U bolts to mount this thing. I used 7 U bolts and I could hang King Kong off this thing in my drywall. I have a 58′ television and I have absolutely no worries of this television dropping. One flaw in this mount is gaining access to the back of the television once it’s hung. It’s minor though and not enough to draw back from a 5 star rating.
