Harmony 1100 Advanced Universal Remote Control with 3 5 Inch Color Touch Screen

The Logitech Harmony 1100 gives you powerful home-entertainment control through a customizable, 3.5-inch full-color touch screen. Controls are easy to access and are backlit, so you can easily find them in the dark. One-touch, activity-based controls turn on the right devices in the right order with a single command. RF wireless capability lets you control devices without direct line-of-sight, so you can keep components in a closed cabinet or even another room (requires Logitech Harmony RF Extender, sold separately). The on-screen commands are customizable, so you get the commands you want, when you want them. The Harmony 1100 supports more than 5000 brands and over 225,000 devices.

5 Stars Logitech Harmony 1100 Touchscreen Remote is Well Worth The Money!
I Purchased the Logitech Harmony 1100 Touchscreen remote to use with our new home theater, and I have to say it is well worth the money! This remote is far easier to set up and use than any other universal remote I have owned. The activities button will allow you to choose whatever it is that you want to do (with just one touch powering on or off all the components used in that activity)… Watch TV, Watch a DVD, Listen to the Radio, etc… I was even able to set it up to control our Karaoke machine and Lighting… This remote is far better than a standard universal remote because the light up display is large and easy to read in any lighting (even a dark room like a home theater) so there is no need to struggle to read small buttons like on other products! Also, if you need to add, change or troubleshoot a component its no problem as the remote walks you through it all with ease… This is a really great product!
5 Stars Sleek and VERY COOL
Very nice product and works very well with all my audio equipment. I even have it for turning on my fans in my house. The set-up on the web is very easy and has all the manufacturer codes available. I highly recommend this item for people who are sick of all the remotes. If you have high end audio equipment and want something that compliments your system…this is it!!!
3 Stars Snow Leopard Nightmare
Summary – For our kind of use and difficulty of setup (with Snow Leopard) this remote is not worth it, the instructions are bad and technical support wait times are long. It is also an amazing remote.
If I would have known how hard it is to set up I would not have bought this remote. It is also an amazing remote once set up but it was not worth it for me. Once I was 3 or 4 hours into the setup it always seemed like the answer was right around the corner. It took us 2 days to get it set up. If it takes you only 1/2 hour then it seems like a no brainer to me. If I had it to do again I would call technical support the first time the fix it wizard did not work and wait on hold no matter how long it took. I probably would have take only a few hours to set up and perhaps it would have been worth it then. I waited on hold several times but always had other things that had to get done away from the house. Logitech technical support has a great reputation though.
It was an absolute nightmare to set up with Apple Snow Leopard. There is a network setting that must be manually set up in order to fully set up the device and the setup guide does not say anything about this. The device seemed to be communicating with the computer fine so I ignored the small dialog window that came up – big mistake. The setup worked fine until the last step and then would not work. The wizards provided in the program to fix the problem were useless for my problem. Hours later and many internet searches later I came across a page that addressed the issue with an old logitech remote and an old apple operating system. It worked. I would post the page here but I understand Amazon does not allow it.
I am also finding that the setup program (that has to be used for any changes on the remote) constantly locks up. It also boots me off my wireless internet connection and I have to reboot the computer or go into the network settings to fix the problem. It also will occasionally lose the connection to the remote. The only way to fix that is to reboot as far as I can tell. We have 3 apples and it seems to do it with each one.
Many of the help pages and instructions found at Logitech were horrible. At one point several of us were sitting around the computer trying to figure out what they were telling us to do. It seemed like several steps missing. If we had not given up we would have had to contact technical support. Luckily the answer was found elsewhere.
It also does not work well with our cable box. A couple of buttons blackout the screen. So far we have found no way to get the TV working again except to turn everything off and start again. The cable box was not in the list provided so I had to program the Harmony with the old remote. Evidently it did not take even after a couple of tries. The remote the cable company gave us is junk and does not work well but much better than the Harmony in regards to a couple of functions. The problem may have little to do with the Harmony 1100.
Setting up favorite TV channels is relatively easy. It allows you to add icons that are nice but Logitech provides only a few. There is one great site on the internet that provided all the ones I needed. Not sure why Logitech would not provide them though.
The price here is great. All the local stores were $150 more.
5 Stars Harmony 1100 Remote delivers the goods
I purchased this remote to replace my older harmony remote. There was nothing wrong with my old one but I just purchased a Samsung Plasma and figured I needed a new gadget and liked the touch screen, screen size and versatility of this remote. I also purchased the PS3 adapter and RF extender.
I first tried to setup the remote on a new iMac but seemed to run into a catch 22 there. When you attach the remote to the USB the computer sees it as a network device and wants to assign it to Eth2. The problem is once that happens it kept losing connection to the internet since it was trying to use its own ethernet port instead of the wireless connection to get out on the net. I figured I’d try it on Windows XP and see how that worked.
On XP it still sees it as a network device but just worked better and was able to connect fine. I went through the setup the first time but it didn’t take the RF extender for some reason. Unfortunately on the first setup you can’t go back and change things. I also wanted to add my Onkyo receiver but you cannot add until you do the first setup. I completed everything then it let me go back to add the items. I got everything setup and the remote, PS3 and extender work perfect. I have it controlling my Tivo Series 3 HD, Onkyo receiver, PS3 and Samsung Plasma.
The remote has a nice solid feel and texture to it and the screen is easy to read. Despite the OS X setup hiccups I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a great Universal remote.
Also you can customize the buttons on the screen, add favorites and more. I have more setup to do once I figure out what buttons the default wizard setups do not install that I actually use. The nice thing is you can add/remove/rearrange buttons based on how you use the devices. Very cool. My old harmony served me well but this one is way better!
5 Stars The Best There Is
There is stiff competition today among these high-end universal remotes. The Harmony 1100 is the Cadillac, the ridiculously-expensive, ridiculously-well-equipped tool that tries so hard to do so many things so well (how’s that for a collection of superlatives). I’m glad to say, though, that it largely succeeds. It is a superior bit of hardware.
If you have used any of the other Harmony remotes, you’ll find the setup to be simple–plug it in to your computer, install the software, and run through the wizards. It may take you fifteen minutes or a half hour, but it sure beats typing in codes, hoping to find the ones that match your hardware. With an expensive list of supported devices, and new ones being added constantly, chances are you’ll find that it supports your device right out of the box. Once it is configured, it is as easy to use as you could hope for. The menus lay things out very logically, whether that is the list of controls for your DVD player or a list of your favorite TV channels. There is good visual and tactile feedback whether you are using the hardware buttons or the on-screen prompts. Overall, it is just a great bit of hardware that offers the next generation of an all-too familiar user experience.
Really, my biggest knock on the remote is its size and shape. I am accustomed to a remote that fits nicely in one hand. This one requires two hands (or one hand and a flat, stable surface). So you can’t successfully (or easily) use the remote and sip a Coke at the same time. However, assuming that this is not a problem for you, I see no reason that you won’t love the Harmony 1100. Logitech has outdone themselves!

5 Stars Great sturdy mount
This is a great, sturdy mount for my 32″ LCD. Installation was quite easy, taking less than an hour from opening the box to having it complete. I plan to purchase another one for my bedroom.
5 Stars Awesome!
Mount is fantastic. Fits my 40 inch Samsung. The best thing is that the mount moves making it good for any type of viewing.
5 Stars Works beautifully, but a very small caveat for the obsessive
I have to admit I was worried about all that would be involved in mounting a 32″ LCD using this mount, but instead the entire process went amazingly quickly. In fact, the longest part of the install was marking the studs on the wall.
The mount is completely adjustable and I appreciate the small amount of tilt the mount allows in case in the process of attaching the lag bolts the mounting plate gets pulled slightly off-plumb. It’s incredibly sturdy and I have no concerns about it holding and lasting the life of multiple TVs.
Do be sure you know where on the mount you want the included cable clips, as they will snap off rather than come out of the holes – but nothing that can’t be worked around with regular cable ties.
The kit literally comes with everything you will likely need save for a stud finder. All lag bolts and all attachment bolts to the TV itself are included.
The one very small caveat is that the horizontal plumb of the attached TV will vary a little depending upon how far the arm is extended, so if you adjust the TV to be level with the arm fully extended it will be ever so slightly tilted when you push the arm back up against the wall. However you’ll only notice with the use of a level – it’s not an issue in real-world use.
Note also that there are TWO allen wrenches included with the mount, and the slightly larger silver one is the one you need to adjust the TV’s horizontal tilt once it’s attached. I was frustrated that Sanus included the “wrong size” allen wrench in the hardware kit until I found the second wrench – duh.
In short, I can’t recommend this mount highly enough.
5 Stars Great Product!
Very easy to install, Holds my 26″ LCD in any position I put it. Looks very nice installed with TV in place.
5 Stars Economically speaking, probably the BEST Sanus wall mount out there
You can’t beat this wall mount for the price. We loved the first one so much, we bought the same mount for our larger TV.
Mounting is a snap; I mounted first TV (32″ Westinghouse) using VESA pattern in about 30 minutes with my drill, rachet set, and level. I got the second TV (37″ VIZIO) up in the same time with the addition of a SANUS 400×200 mm adapter plate.
For a mount that mounts into a single wall stud, it can hold very heavy TVs. The design allows you to swivel it as needed; it stays in place once locked.
Overall, a great mount.

5 Stars great mount
this mount was simple to install, highly recommend. tilts up and down, not left and right.
5 Stars Great product
Wow, I’ve seen the same make sold elsewhere for more than double the price. This was so easy to set up and get on the wall even a cave man could do it! Would recommend this mounting bracket to anyone thinking about putting their flat screen on the wall. We are really pleased with the result and since it was so easy the down side is why didn’t we do this sooner!
5 Stars Tilt Wall Mount for 26″ to 42″ Displays (Silver)
Fast shipping, one forth the price of what I would have paid
at best buy….great quality. Am very happy with purchase.
5 Stars Easy to install, good price
After finding the stud location, this mount took us only 10 minutes to install. Instruction is clear and simple. Mount is small and tilts well, a very good fit for LCD TV smaller than 40 inch.

5 Stars Omniview Low Profile Wall Mount
This is an excellent wall mount. Well designed and well made. Comes with everything needed to create a professional installation. The instructions could be improved, but if you are mechanically inclined, you should have no problem. Best mount out there. Sixth Ave had a great price and free shipping. 5 Stars!
4 Stars Good quality, but be sure to plan installation well.
They aren’t kidding around when they say low profile. It does provide a nice, finished look, but it does make installation more difficult. My tv (Sony 46″ XBR LCD) has the inputs perpendicular to the wall and my original HDMI cables were a bit stiff to make the 90 degree turn. My inputs (power and video) from the wall are inside the rectangular frame, which meant that I had to run cables up and then down to access the tv inputs. You can’t fit cable across due to the low profile. I had to buy a recessed outlet for the power as well. Not a defect with the product, just the nature of having such a low profile mount.
A couple other quibbles:
- My tv VESA mounts only allow for 1 mounting location for the hangers. This basically means that you can’t adjust the height once you put the rectangular bracket on the wall. Just another example of why you should plan ahead, ensure that you have the height correct when installing the lag bolts. This may just be a limitation of my TV.
- The bolts used to attached the tv to the hangers are not easily accessed due to the design of the hangers. (Had to buy a flexible link for screwing in the bolts. Again, it may just be due to the design of my TV, but it could apply to yours as well.
5 Stars Engineering and all was great!
I was thoroughly satisfied with this. It assembled easily, you could tell the parts were quality made, and it was actually a bit more complex of a mechanism than I thought it would be. The template was great.. and the instructions were pretty good. The only thing on the instructions was that when it says to put down the kick stands to install the cables…. there are little locking fingers on the bottom rail that may have been locked when you first put the TV on the top rail. so, you have to be aware of that to use the kick stands. Other than that… I’m very satisfied!

5 Stars excellent mount
Excellent mount for small LCD TVs. Fit the Vizio 22″ perfectly. Had it mounted on the wall in 15 minutes. Built in level makes it easy and all necessary hardware was included. Addition of stud finder is also nice. Well built mount with a nice clean finish on it.
5 Stars Flexible wall mount for flat panel TV
I had purchased the next larger version of this mount for a larger TV and was very pleased with the product. It is of quality construction, easy to follow instructions (even include an electroinc stud locater in the package)and at a really great price.
3 Stars Good wall mount but….
This is a nice solid wall mount but I was expecting to be able to use it on my vesa 200X200 tv (a Panasonic VIERA X1 Series TC-L32X1)…the product info states vesa 75,100 and 200…but the 200 is only 200X100 not 200X200! The screws for attaching the mount to the TV were too small. All the other details are correct and it is a nice mount, just not for this TV.
