5 Stars Toshiba is back in the LCD HDTV race
After reading, exploring, researching and hands on comparison I do not regret the purchase of this Toshiba LCD TV. I feel it is an outstanding value for a 52 inch lcd class tv. Toshiba’s new 5 gig processor combined with the 120Hz smooth’s action transitions as well as delivering outstanding darks and vibrant colors. My family room is well lit with sunlight during the day and there is no screen glare. The picture is very clear and sharp as well. The set is extremely impressive with an HD signal. It does almost as well with just a regular digital signal from cable/antena. I also hooked up a older JVC DVD player using just the old RCA cables and was extremely surprised at how good the picture looked. very close to looking as good as HD. I am getting Toshiba’s upscaling DVD player, its on order, and will be using it soon. The remote is a breeze to use. Its simple to find which format to use for displaying the signal. Toshiba has done their homework. They should get back some of their market share that they lost to Samsung. I would stack this LCD against any other 50+ inch LCD HDTV out there. I also am using a Philips home theater sound system and the audio is outstanding. The onboard speaker does an good job for every day viewing but won’t compair to a home theater system. I would buy this product again, hands down. Look closely at this TV if you are looking at 120Hz LCD HDTV’s. I also consitered the 55 inch 670U with the simulated 240Hz. Even if it was a true 240Hz I would have still opted for the 645U 120hz. I believe the 240hz to be over kill combined with the cost difference between the two. I have used Toshiba’s XD-E500 Upconverting 1080p Extended Detail DVD that I ordered from Amazon several times now. I am very pleased with this Toshiba product as well. The picture looks outstanding. HD quality. i am so pleased that I didn’t get a Blue Ray player but opted for an upconverting unit instead. At $64.00 the Toshiba is at the top of its game. I did purchsase the 2 year replacement policy as some of the reviewers stated that they have had failures with theirs. All in all I am enjoying watching tv and movies at home like I have never before. The Ragza link also enables the use of one remote use for both the LCD tv and the DVD player. Nice. Look at these products if you are researching before buying. Just an awesome home entertainment center paired together. I never thought I would enjoy staying home to watch movies more than going to a theater. My family loves movie night with us or their friends. Again, very pleased with both of these purchases and they both perform beyond my expectations.
4 Stars An excellent TV, but . . . .
I agree with all the positive reviews here, but if you need to use closed captioning, you might want to read Freiwil’s review of the 46-inch Regza at Toshiba REGZA 46XV645U 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV, Black He is correct in saying that you have to use the cable box’s closed captioning option because CC is not transmitted through the HDMI cable. I called Toshiba to confirm this, and the rep said this is true. I really hate that because the TV has many CC options for font, size, and so on that are not available via cable TV. Also, others have mentioned a set-up issue (the set-up screen occurring every time you turn on the TV) on sets built before a certain date. The Toshiba rep admitted this is a problem, but she mailed a card to insert in one of the slots on the side to update the firmware and avoid this problem in the future. For the price, this is an excellent buy. The technician who set up our TV said that he thought the Sanyo top-of-the-line had gotten around the problem with CC. I hope Toshiba can do that! However, the higher end Sanyo we priced was $1000 more than the Toshiba.
5 Stars Excellent Television at an excellent price
We moved into a new house and were on a mission to buy 3 televisions. After looking at all the televisions out there in our price range, and looking at all the displays next to each other, this one instantly popped out at us. I know we aren’t supposed to judge a tv when it’s next to a bunch of others, but I couldn’t help looking at all the other ones and how my eyes just kept coming back to this model. The blacks seemed darker, deeper and the colors were more vivid and crisper. I ended up buying three 52″ for the house. I’ll start of by saying that the picture is beautiful. It has full side inputs and a lot of rear inputs. One thing to mention is if you are hanging it, the rear inputs are almost impossible to reach and since they point straight back and not downward, there may be a problem with some cabling. Toshiba, like any other manufacturer, put their light up logo right in front and under the screen so it’s in the way when you are watching tv, however, they were smart enough to allow you to turn it off. The control on the tv isn’t great – it feels cheap and doesn’t light up, but does glow in the dark. Changing between channels is pretty quick, not like some tv’s where you have to wait a couple seconds. Watching Planet Earth on BluRay is excellent, except when there is quick panning, such as when they pan to follow a hawk, you can notice some jitter because the refresh rate isn’t as fast. I haven’t seen a football game on it yet so I don’t know how that looks. The sound is not very good, but then again I am not sure of many tv’s that have great sound. I have to really turn up the volume in order to hear it clear. It does have different picture modes such as sports, theater, store, etc. I find store to be the brightest, most vivid and yet retain some really deep blacks, however, this mode is not energy compliant. The tv itself is very sexy. It features a matte screen and it’s anti-glare is very good, expecially in our master bedroom where windows are next to and in front of where the tv hangs. The casing is a glossy black which does tend to gets fingerprints when touching it. Overall, I think this tv is well worth the price and you will be very happy with the picture quality. Take it from someone who owns 3 of them!

I’d had misgivings about purchasing such a product online, but some friends had done so with no problems, so I decided to try it. The TV arrived in great shape! The delivery service unpacked it and put it into the entertainment center. I had to hook the cable box, DVD player, games up, but that was no problem. The picture is fantastic! I sometimes felt like I was standing on the side lines watching the opening weekend of college football.
I have to wonder why people let big box stores like Best Buy charge them to deliver and set up their TVs. It really is pretty simple. The Amazon price was $200 to $300 less than any of the local stores that I used to evaluate the various sets and prices, and there were no shipping charges.

3 Stars Doesn’t Fit 37″ Vizio
I bought this wall mount because it claims to fit most 20″-40″ tv’s, but the bracket is not long enough for my new Vizio 37″ LCD. Compare the length of the bracket you intend to buy with the distance between the mounting screws on the back of your tv before buying. Should be at least a few inches longer for correct fit. Otherwise, this product seems to be well made.

I bought this mount based on the positive reviews that were on here. I’m glad I listened to everybody reviewing this mount! This is a great mount, that fit perfectly on my 32″ Vizio. It comes will all the necessary bolts/washers you need for various wall types and various TVs. the included instructions are straightforward and easy to understand. It took me about 30 minutes to install the mount on the wall and the brackets on the t.v.
The wall mount is about 20 to 21 inches wide, so IT WILL fit between two standard 16″ wide wall studs…The mount i received has a nice black finish and it is heavy duty.
Also, there is about a 2 1/2 inch leeway to the sides. For example, I moved my Vizio all the way to the left side of the mount as far as it can go. Once in that position, I can move the t.v. 2 1/2 inches to the right. So, if you were to center the t.v. on the mount, you would have about an 1″ or 1 1/4 inches to move each side. This was perfect for me, because i didnt want to see so the mount sticking out behind my t.v. Also, the tilt on this is easy to use and works well.
YOU cannot tell the difference between this mount and a $100/150 mount!! I know this because my brother bought a $125 mount for his Vizio, and they look the same!! I’m definitely glad i went with this product.
I also took one of the reviewers advice and purchased it through ERSE, who is listed under the MORE BUYING CHOICES. After shipping, i paid $42.00 total!!!! And ERSE shipped out the next day, so i got my mount fairly quickly!!!

I’m using this for a 42″ tv that weighs about 65lbs and it’s working great. I was skeptical of this product because of it’s low price but I took a chance and I’m glad I did.

I like laughing at friends who said they got a good deal for $125. This one works great. I have removed my 37″ INSIGNIA TV many time to run different componet wires behind the TV and through the wall. This bracket stays strong and is what I expect to pay for a hidden piece of metal mounting equipment.

5 Stars Fantastic Monitor
I did a HUGE amount of research to find the best 22″ computer monitor under $300. The sound is not great (no bad either), but I did not buy it to be a HDTV. It works perfectly. The remote is intuitive, the buttons on the side allow you to switch between monitor and TV very easily. It comes with both VGA and DVI (male-male) cables and it overall a fantastic product. This is the best 22″ monitor for under $300 and it just to happens to be a television too.
4 Stars Good for a small bedroom or office
Pretty satisfied with this product. Had to adjust color and brightness control to get a good picture. My husband says picture is still too small for his satisfaction but I find it just fine for the bedroom. Still haven’t figured out how to program my remote to use my video player (not so easy according to the directions)

I ordered this monitor as a 2nd screen for my bedroom, I hooked up my 2nd Blu-ray player & 2nd PS3 to it. It looks great,and is very sleek looking. It is a “computer monitor” so it doesn’t have the ability to wall mount so it just sits on my dresser. The plastic stand worried me in the beginning but after a couple of late nights “bumps” into the dresser the stand held firm. It is a great purchase for the price. It has the connection form the coaxial cable and a built in digital tuner….I have not used them since the main purpose was just for the Blu-ray & PS3 not cable. My friend saw it and immediately bought one for herself & her daughters rooms.

Everything came on time as promised and was quick to set up. The picture as usual is amazing but the sound as other reviews have noted is tinny to fair. Still for a birthday present for the wife so she can watch tv in the kitchen it rocks. She uses it every day so mission accomplished. Thanks Amazon.

Sanus is probably one of the best wall mounts that I know of–and this particular model is my favorite. The 30″ arm gives you a great deal of flexibility when positioning the TV–which is excellent if you have a living room with different seating options around the room.
5 Stars Excellent product
We installed the Sanus mount for a 50″ Samsung Plasma. Installation was a snap as was mounting the TV to the mount itself. Sanus supplies a wide range of screws for every TV that the mount is recommended for. The mount works smoothly, articulating in all directions and includes the ability to adjust how easily (or not so easily) you want the movement of the arm to be.
After mounting it was not perfectly level and plumb, but close. The mount happily includes fine adjustments for plumb and level which were very easy to use.
Recommended hole size into the studs were a bit tight, as others have noted, but using the old carpenters’ trick of lubricating the lag bolt threads with soap made the job no problem. The lag bolts themselves were definately adequate but it’s easy to see how trying to force the lags into the recommended hole size could snap any lag. I would never recomend going against the manufacturers hole size, however. Just take a bar of soap and scrape the lag across it, getting soap into the threads. The lag will go in smoothly.
Heavy duty construction and quality paint. I would definately recommend this mount.
3 Stars Check your wall stud locations before you buy
Sanus does not mention this anywhere in their product descriptions, specifications, or on the box, but this product can only be installed on walls with studs on 16″ centers, or less. Exterior walls, and some other walls, on many houses built in the last 25 to 30 years will have 2×10 studs on 24 inch centers. Sanus only mentions this deficiency in a small note on page 5 of the installation manual. I discovered this only after I bought the wall mount and unpacked all of the pieces. I ended up having to cut a hole in the wall and building a 2×4 frame to fit inside of the existing studs. This added a extra day to the install, added extra expense, and required 2 trips the home supply center.
Other than this important omission in their product, it’s an ok wall mount.

This mount looks great above the fireplace. The tilt is so nice i have not had to articulate away from the wall for reviewing. I was looking for a mount that did not protrude too far from the wall and this lines up perfectly over the mantle. I would recommend this to a friend
5 Stars Sanus Flatscreen TV wall mount
Don’t be fooled by a product window that appears unattractive – the Sanus Wall Mount is superbly designed, easy to install, and beautifully functional. One note, however – the “easy installation” does include appropriate anchoring, the tools recommended, a little time and a little care – don’t expect it to pop out of the box and leap onto your wall – it is not like hanging a picture. If you’re not home-renovation ready but want the option of use, I’d recommend purchase and a professional installation: that said, the installer should be done with it inside of 30 minutes, and providing your wall offers the proper support, it’s something of a breeze – easier than hanging a door, for example, but in the same league. The black wall mount has a lacquer finish and the screen rotation is fully satisfying. Perfect for loft use – the design is somewhat adult, and minimal however, and may distress some in an otherwise pretty suburban home, where pastels reign. Do not purchase however if the wall you wish to mount the unit on is anything less than rock-solid secure; and there may be a problem with attaching to aluminum studs.
