4 Stars Very pleased!
After searching endlessly for an affordable HDTV, I am very happy with this one. The picture quality is great, and the sound is extremely good (I wasn’t expecting the sound to be good). I am a bit disappointed that the price has gone down by $20 since I bought the TV last week. But overall, it’s definitely worth the money. i would definitely buy more Coby HDTVs. They’re clear and affordable.
4 Stars Nice for the price
I purchased the TFTV1923 to use for training and display purposes. My most important requirement was that it be easy to carry around and have decent sound and picture. Both are fine, though the sound is tinny. It sets up easily and is perfect for use in small areas and especially in small meetings. I was unable to get any picture reception with a good digital antenna at my home office location. I know the reception in this area is decent, so was disappointed I got no hits on the channel scan. A good buy for the price and quality.
1 Star Waste of Money!
I bought this TV about four months ago, and it worked decently for a few months. Then all of a sudden one day it just stopped working for no visible reason. The Coby tech support was beyond useless in trying to get my tv working again. Their response was “oh well too bad there is nothing we can do.” So now a few short months after buying this tv i have a $180 paperweight. Do NOT waste your time or money on this tv or this company. I am extremely unsatisfied and will never buy from them again.
4 Stars great picture, lame sound
i like the design of this tv, the input lay out is ideal and keeps all my cords organized. i use this for a t.v., computer screen, dvd player and for my wii. the video from all the imputs is great the colors are vibrant and clear and the picture is sharp. the only down side is the sound, i can’t make anything sound good and each device i have plays at differnt sound levels so when the volume is low on my PC it is very loud on my Wii, i’ve had to go so far as to get a set of aux speakers, a bit of a hastle which adds cost to this reasonably priced t.v., not very consumer freindly coby.
2 Stars Cheap you get what you pay for
If you want to save $50 and get a TV that is really built on a budget, this is for you. If you want a TV that will last, spend the extra $50 and get a TV that will be with you for years to come.
The TV looks and feel likes a toy company built it. I love the the remote bends when you push it buttons(It won’t last long). But it doesn’t stop there, the TV has a lot of fragile and flimsy components, but you are getting a cheap TV.
