5 Stars fit like a glove
have a 52″ bravia – perfect fit, easy adjustments. you do need 2 people though

4 Stars Installation manual could have been better
Solid construction and worked great with my Bravia 52w3000. The price was a bit steep for what it was (maybe that’s for all flat panel mounts) but it fit perfectly. The instruction manual didn’t have the right info for my TV as it was newer, but it was readily available on the Sony website. My beef was that the instruction manual could have been much clearer. it stated that the screws should be 8mm or larger but don’t believe 8mm screws fit the holes in the brackets. Also, the measurement guidelines could have been better although my installation ended up fine.

5 Stars Piece of mind
Heavy duty. Easy to bolt to wall. Made me feel better hanging a 40″ screen with it

5 Stars Sony SUWL500 Wall Mount Bracket
At first I thought this product was too pricey, however, it was well worth the money. I did not have any problem installing the bracket and the t.v. I purchased other brackets before this and when I got it home I ran into problems immediately such as not having the right screws or the bracket was too confusing to install. The installation instructions for this bracket was very easy to understand and I was able to put up my t.v. within a reasonable amount of time without being overwhelmed and I did it by myself.

4 Stars Sony SUWL500 Wall Mount Bracket
We have a Sony 46″ KDL-46Z4100 and decided to use the Sony mount instead of a generic brand sold in most stores. The Sony mount was very easy to install, is black which matches the TV (most generic mounts are a silver color). For those folks needing to, or desiring to tilt their TV, this mount tilts up to 15 degrees if desired.

Once installed the total distance from the wall to the front of the TV is approximately 5 3/8″. If the studs in your wall are sixteen inches on center you should have no problem installing this wall mount. Ours were not and I was emphatic about having the TV centered in the space we selected to install the TV. Our solution was to use fasteners purchased from Home Depot called “WingIts”. The WingIts are rated to 300 lbs each in all directions and may be used in all wall substrates. They are NOT for use in ceilings, walls only. They are expensive but in my opinion worth the price. FYI: The Sony model discussed here is approximately 50 lbs.

Home Depot also sells a special WingIts drill bit which is the precise diameter needed for use with WingIts fasteners. This bit is also expensive at approximately 12.00 to be used as in my case only once or twice. But as the fasteners in my opinion the bit is worth it’s price, after all you installing a $2000.00 TV, what’s another twelve dollars to make the job safe, correct and easy.

The TV was installed two weeks ago and still hanging today so I am very comfortable with our insulation and the use of the WingIts fasteners, they do the job as advertised.

The only negative we found with the Sony wall mount were the instructions. This mount fits many Sony TV’s, from 32 inches to 46″ and there is some variance for mounting the different size TV’s which this mount accommodates. Making it more difficult the KDL-40Z4100 instructions are not in the wall mounts instillation manual which may make deciphering the instructions confusing. The good news is; Sony packages with the KDL-40Z4100 TV, the instructions for mounting the TV and installing the SUWL 500 Wall Mount Bracket.

If the instructions were clear I would have rated this mount five stars.

VideoSecu Tilt Swing Arm Wall Mount for LCD Plasma TV Flat Panel Television ML423 1GA

VideoSecu Tilt Swing Arm Wall Mount for LCD Plasma TV Flat Panel Television ML423 1GA

The Wall Mount is ideal for obtaining side-to side rotation and upward/downward tilt. It supports LCD screens up to 44 lbs. Compatible with screens that have VESA 50mm/75mm/100mm/200mmx100mm mounting hole patterns. Arm extends from wall up to 17.7″ or folds flat to save space. The two arm assembly allows the full articulation of the monitor/keyboard, folds up to 3″ from the wall and extends 17.7″ to the center mounting of the monitor. This mount has two articulating joints which together provide 180 degrees of movement. How to check whether this mount fits your LCD? Please check the weight of your TV or LCD, it must be less than 44 lbs. If your LCD Monitor or TV has 4 or 6 holes on the back of the screen, and they are either 50 x 50 mm (2″ x 2″), 75 x 75 mm (3″ X 3″) or 100×100 mm (4″ x 4″), 200×100mm (8″ x 4 “), or 200×200 (8″ x 8″) apart from each other horizontally or vertically, this bracket will fit. If you currently have a stand attached to your LCD TV this is usually removed prior to fitting the wall mount and 4 holes should be revealed.

5 Stars TILT SWING ARM WALL MOUNT FOR LCD/PLASMA TV & COMP.MONITOR
EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO MOUNT A 20″ COMP. FLAT PANEL MONITOR IN MY RV.

DOUBLE SWING ARM AND TILT LETS YOU MOVE IT WHERE YOU NEED WHETHER IT’S TO WORK WITH OR TO SWING IT OUT OF THE WAY FOR STORAGE.

AND THE PRICE CAN’T BE BEAT ANYWHERE.

4 Stars Works well, but doesn’t fit all TVs
The swing arm is sturdy. It fits many standard screw patterns. It has worked flawlessly since I installed it. The plastic cover that goes over the metal was a pain and required some modifications to get it to work in my situation, but worked and looks nice.

Installing the swing arm into the wall turned out to be an adventure. There were no studs behind the wall where I wanted to mount it, and the screw mounts sent with the unit just pulled out once a little weight was applied. You can solve this two ways – use a bit of plywood that can be attached to wall studs, or use some large drywall screws that are used to hang plants and such. I used the drywall screws as I didn’t want to try and hide a hunk of plywood. I had to drill 3 good sized holes, but they are hidden behind the swingarm wall mount. It turned out sturdy and secure.

The one other issue I ran into was I ended up replacing the orginal TV I bought with the swingarm. The new TV advertised they were mounting VESA compliant and yes, the screws did match up – But the TV mount bracket covered up the cable TV connection. Out came the drill and a metal bit, and a few minutes later They cable ran right through the mounting bracket just fine. The lesson here is just because the screws line up (VESA Compliant) does NOT mean the TV will be easy to mount.

When you buy a flat screen to be mounted, look to be sure the cable connection and other important connectors are point down, to the side, or up – but NOT straight back.

The addition of a swingarm TV to the front office was a nice touch – much appreciated by my wife. This hardware gets a recommend – with caution on the mating of the right TV.

4 Stars GOOD QUALITY!
I have no room on my kitchen counter for a tv, so I looked into wall mounting, and this one gave me alot of options. I love it!

5 Stars Great sturdy mount
This is a great, sturdy mount for my 32″ LCD. Installation was quite easy, taking less than an hour from opening the box to having it complete. I plan to purchase another one for my bedroom.

5 Stars Awesome!
Mount is fantastic. Fits my 40 inch Samsung. The best thing is that the mount moves making it good for any type of viewing.

5 Stars Works beautifully, but a very small caveat for the obsessive
I have to admit I was worried about all that would be involved in mounting a 32″ LCD using this mount, but instead the entire process went amazingly quickly. In fact, the longest part of the install was marking the studs on the wall.

The mount is completely adjustable and I appreciate the small amount of tilt the mount allows in case in the process of attaching the lag bolts the mounting plate gets pulled slightly off-plumb. It’s incredibly sturdy and I have no concerns about it holding and lasting the life of multiple TVs.

Do be sure you know where on the mount you want the included cable clips, as they will snap off rather than come out of the holes – but nothing that can’t be worked around with regular cable ties.

The kit literally comes with everything you will likely need save for a stud finder. All lag bolts and all attachment bolts to the TV itself are included.

The one very small caveat is that the horizontal plumb of the attached TV will vary a little depending upon how far the arm is extended, so if you adjust the TV to be level with the arm fully extended it will be ever so slightly tilted when you push the arm back up against the wall. However you’ll only notice with the use of a level – it’s not an issue in real-world use.

Note also that there are TWO allen wrenches included with the mount, and the slightly larger silver one is the one you need to adjust the TV’s horizontal tilt once it’s attached. I was frustrated that Sanus included the “wrong size” allen wrench in the hardware kit until I found the second wrench – duh.

In short, I can’t recommend this mount highly enough.

5 Stars Great Product!
Very easy to install, Holds my 26″ LCD in any position I put it. Looks very nice installed with TV in place.

5 Stars Economically speaking, probably the BEST Sanus wall mount out there
You can’t beat this wall mount for the price. We loved the first one so much, we bought the same mount for our larger TV.

Mounting is a snap; I mounted first TV (32″ Westinghouse) using VESA pattern in about 30 minutes with my drill, rachet set, and level. I got the second TV (37″ VIZIO) up in the same time with the addition of a SANUS 400×200 mm adapter plate.

For a mount that mounts into a single wall stud, it can hold very heavy TVs. The design allows you to swivel it as needed; it stays in place once locked.

Overall, a great mount.

VideoSecu Full Motion Swivel Flat Panel Television LCD Plasma Tilt Wall Mount 1KM

VideoSecu Full Motion Swivel Flat Panel Television LCD Plasma Tilt Wall Mount 1KM

With this versatile wall mount, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. The dual articulating arm, which attaches to any wall, creates the perfect viewing angle for your TV with 180 degree lateral rotation, tilt and swivel. The Articulating LCD Wall Arm supports most 32″ up to 55″ plasma TV. It folds flat against the wall or extends out up to 15″. The two-link arm design provides easy one-touch tilt and up to 180 degrees of swivel for virtually limitless viewing positions. Fits most flat panel LCD TVs up to 55″. Heavy-gauge steel construction. Lift-N-Lock design offers easy installation. Please check the back of your LCD to make sure if the mount fits your monitor or TV. Note: please check what mount your TV requires before place your order. Do not pick the mount by the screen size of your TV. First check the weight of your TV. It must be less than 135 lbs. Second, look at the back panel of your TV. If your TV has 4 holes or 6 holes on the back of the screen, measure the vertical and horizontal distance between the holes, as shown by the last picture. If the vertical distance is within – 18.9 inch, horizontal distance within 30.5 inch, then this bracket will fit. If you currently have a stand attached to your LCD TV this is usually removed prior to fitting the wall mount. Third, the width of your TV should be 32″ or above. Otherwise the mount is too wide to hide behind your TV. We have a smaller tilt mount for 23″ – 37″ TV in our Amazon store. This mount fits up 200- 480 mm(vertical) x 200-770 mm(horizontal) . If you have a TV which need VESA 800×400 or larger mount, this mount does not fit. IF you are not sure, please contact us with the brand name and model number, we will check for you.

4 Stars Rotating Wall Mount – pretty good for the $$
This wall mount did all it was supposed to do…it keeps my 42″ tv secure and rotates around for viewing from different rooms/angles. Unfortunately I have to agree with the directions, parts, and uneven hanging criticisms. Those are minor details however, directions were terrible, but a person with any handy sense can figure it out; parts were a nightmare so we simply went to Lowes and got new nuts/bolts that worked; sits a bit uneven to the eye but our level says that it is perfectly level and it does appear to be level with certain positions of the swivel. It is ok for the money but very secure which is the most important thing!!

5 Stars Inexpensive and easy to install
This product is very easy to install and was very inexpensive compared to the ones they tried to sell me at the big box stores.

3 Stars Clunky
This is basically a swivel mount bolted onto the to the VideoSecu wall mount bracket. Not an elegant design. Chinese/English instructions take a while to figure out, and once it’s up the swivel arm is very stiff an difficult to maneuver. The brackets bolted to the back of the TV aren’t secured to the hanging bracket, so it slides to the left and right freely. But paying $79 for a $399 wall mount, I can live with it!

5 Stars Very Sturdy
As other reviewers have mentioned, the instructions are terrible, but good enough that you can figure out. The unit is top notch. Very sturdy. I have a Toshiba 40″ LCD on it. Very smooth movements and reasonably priced. Very Pleased.

5 Stars Great wall mount
Fantastic wall mount for the price, with the weight of the tv it has a slight lean to the right, but all in all it holds really securely. I had to cut the brackets however in order to hide them behind my 32″ tv.

4 Stars Worth the money
I bought my second Panasonic Plasma after about 8 months of using my first (and after my 15yr old Sony 25″ started acting up). For my first Plasma I had purchased a $70 wall mount. Since I was mounting to brick fire place, I wanted a good quality mount. I was pleased with it. For my new purchase it was going up on wallboard/wood studs. I came across the Cheetah, read the reviews and decided to take a chance.

The mount came with all hardware. Instructions are sparse. Luckily I’m a mechanical engineer so I really didn’t need them anyway. The thing is flimsy and not nearly as sturdy as my first mount. It is made out of stamped sheet metal. If you like high quality construction I wouldn’t recommend it. Since as far as I’m concerned as long as it stays up, and holds my 60lb TV, then I really didn’t care. I hung the bracket and tested it with my body weight. It held, so it has at least a 3x design margin on overload. With that test complete, I felt confident my TV would not come off in anything less than a 7.0 earthquake.

I recommend this for anyone looking for a low cost mount that is easy to install.

One word of caution. My bracket came with a level embedded in it. It was obvious that the machined hole where the level was placed was NOT square with the edge of the frame. They also packed a separate level with the unit (shown in picture). USE THE SEPARATE LEVEL!!! I suspect they had A LOT of complaints about the embedded level. DO NOT USE IT or you will be drilling 2 sets of holes in your wall (the second AFTER you figure out the the level is a piece of garbage).

5 Stars Small Price Big Value
Bought this mount based on the other reviews out there and the fact that I don’t like paying ridiculous prices for things that you can get much cheaper with the same quality. This mount was very easy to install (4 screws in the wall, 4 screws in the tv and you are hanging). The screws for my tv were included Samsung LN40B630 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color. It is very sturdy (I think the wall screws are a bit overkill but get the job done) and the tv hangs nicely. Plenty of room for cables out the back. One recomendation is to tighten the tilt bracket most of the way to where you want it before hanging the tv. It gets pretty tight once the tv is up there and is a little difficult to tighten this piece at that point. Like the other reviewers, I ditched the included “level” and used a real one. One other note is that if you hang the tv and it is slightly crooked, the brackets on the back of the tv have some wiggle room so you can move one or the other slighltly up or down within the precut holes for minute adjustments. Overall, very satisfied. Great product.

5 Stars Great value, slight adjustment needed
It’s probably nitpicking but I had to make some repeated adjustments to get this perfectly level with the TV. Most likely it’s slight variations in the TV and the mount and how the bolts were laying but it did take me 6 tries to get the TV perfectly level. The TV in question is a Panasonic plasma, 54″ Viera G10.

That said … the product is great. Very strong, well made, tilts nicely, very narrow to the wall – as narrow as possible I think and still allow for tilting and connecting.

The product has a built in level, which is accurate, the TV was only 1/16″ off when I was done … but enought to fiddle with.

The product came with a generous amount of hardware to fit all typical TV mountings and I was able to quickly pick the hardware I needed. The TV is infinitely adjustable left and right, so with a little masking tape as a marker, it was easy to perfectly center the TV each time I took it off to adjust it slightly. In addition the putting on and taking off was very easy with all structural elements aligning as they should.

Fit and finish are nice, powder coating has no issues, tilt adjust hardware is nicely chromed and works well. Overall a great product.

5 Stars Best bang for the buck!!
Absolutely the best TV mount for the buck!! It was easy to install and fit my 52″ Sony Bravia perfectly!! Sony wanted $299. for their mount. I’m so glad I looked here before buying their’s, this mount works just as well as the Sony mount. Don’t be fooled into buying a high priced mount from your TV manufacturer, this mount is just as good, for a fraction of the cost!!!

1 Star Was Very Disappointed but now I am satisfied
I received my package in horrible shape. Upon examining the box I noticed that it was double taped, meaning it must have been opened previously and then returned (who knows why) and repackaged very poorly, and from my bad luck I am the one to get this defective box. I feel very bad, because the reason I bought this item is because it is rated highly by other users.

I feel cheated and deceived. Will never buy from this merchant ever again.

Shame on them for not doing the proper thing and shipping me a new unopened box, or at least a box in good condition.

Updated Sept. 3, 2009

This company’s customer service called me this morning, and after their fair and quick help, I am now satisfied with this order. I like how this company stands behind their products and help their customers.
