4 Stars Great buy!
This flatscreen is everything I was looking for in a tv for my bedroom. I love the 3 alarms on any day of the week you choose and channel and even volume. Only con is the speakers aren’t that great, but I expected that from other reviews I read. Overall great buy!

5 Stars Excellent TV!
This is a top notch HDTV for an excellent price… well below the equivalent at a Best Buy.

To begin with, this TV is attractive even when off. When on, the screen is bright and crisp. I’ve had no problems using it with either my PS3 or Wii… the “game mode” seems to do its job very well in minimizing the lag common in HDTVs. Assassin’s Creed looks amazing, as does Mario Galaxy.

The TV has very full customizeability of picture, and I’ve had no problem making dark movies bright enough.

Contrary to some of the reviews here, I think the speakers are very satisfactory. They don’t have a completely full bass sound, no, but they are plenty loud for my apartment. Despite a lack of deep bass the speakers give generally full sound, and do a good job mimicking surround output. A little tip – turning on the “true surround” feature lowers the volume by quite a bit. Sound a little quiet? Then turn off the surround setting and “settle” with excellent stereo sound… at volume 45 the TV is plenty loud (and it goes to 100). I compared the sound of various TVs at Best Buy and I honestly think this little unit has phenomenal sound for its size class… if you want better speakers built into a ~3″ deep flat screen, well you are probably going to have to go for a fatter and larger TV. What do you want for such a slim unit?

The TV not having 1080P output isn’t much of a con… most TVs this size do not offer that, and when they “do” it is usually just a downscaling of 1080P signal to the screen rather than truly displaying it. 720P and 1080i look pretty darn slick compared to a CRT analogue TV, let me tell you! Again, the PS3 looks awesome.

So – good sound for the size-class, crisp bright screen, high contrast, good performance on games… all for ~$[...]!

It should have an S-video input. I’m not sure why it doesn’t. That made me a little sad, but I knew it didn’t when buying it. Just upgrade to component or HDMI where possible if you’ve got an s-video device :-)

I have one real con for this TV – NOWHERE did I see this indicated – the TV has a completely unadjustable stand. On larger TVs, the stands don’t have to be adjustable because their viewing angles are so large. But a smaller TV at 22″ with a 160 degree viewing angle… it really does need to be able to tilt. I have it up on a dresser so I tucked some cardboard under the rear of the base to give it a slight tilt down. Thankfully the bright screen and decent viewing angles make this an acceptable arrangement, but if you have an off-optimal location for your TV consider the lack of adjustability when buying.

Still – excellent TV with better picture than a lot of the ones I’ve seen in stores. Definite steal at this price

5 Stars Great picture. Sound too.
I love this tv. It’s light as a feather. (my first skinny tv) The box has a handle. I got home late and thought I’d have to detach my slam-on-you screen door to bring it in from the porch like any bulky box I’ve gotten from amazon. But nooooo. The slender box was left between the screen door and the front door, I grabbed the handle and strolled into the house like I was carrying a brief case

I hate directions but only had to read a half a page to get it turned on and pulling in all the “air” channels here with rabbit ears that have one ear broken in half. Soon, maybe I’ll read about the details

But I love that I didn’t have to. (sorry about that grammar thingy)

The picture is sharp, the color is true, and the sound is perfectly fine.

The remote is very well laid out and even works when I point it the other way, something I’m really not used to because I’ve been having some annoying remote problems for a while now.

BTW. Thanks Amazon, for being smart enough to give me so much free shipping… still I’m kinda confused that I can buy Balance bars cheaper at Walmart AND know the expiration date.

But still, great buying experience.

5 Stars great quality right out of the box
Purchased through Amazon….Just hook up the cable wires, plug this thingie in, and you have a great looking, extroadinary color HDTV. Nice size for our bedroom….great design, takes up little space. What more can you want…..very very nice product.

4 Stars Samsung 22″ LCD TV
This is my first LCD TV so I can’t compare it with other LCDs. The picture is bright and clear and the color really great. Compared to my other TV, it is super. The sound is lacking bass, but is very good with voice. I can hear and understand much better with this TV compared to the 15 year old Samsung that went to the trash. We are using this TV in the kitchen and dining room. I made a lazy susan to fit the base so we can easily turn it to watch in either room.

5 Stars Thanks!
Great TV. Fits in my bathroom perfectly, has great picture quality and sound level is fine.

4 Stars samsung
Nice TV. My only complaint is that the off angle viewing drops off considerably when you move even at a slight angle to the screen

4 Stars as expected
Good quality fairly small – in today’s big screen world – lcd tv. The viewer has to be pretty straight on for the best picture. Our large screen Sony has a better picture.

4 Stars Good Value…needs better sound.
I picked up two of these at $219 each from Amazon and recently ordered another one for a relative at $221. A very good value. We have one in a bedroom and one in a home office.

The picture is good but not as good as the Samsung LN19A450 which we also have but is no longer available. I would have preferred the LN19A450 even though it was about $100 more.

In summary these are a good value for the money but not for those who want the absolute best picture and sound in a small TV.

2 Stars Poor Sound
I came across this TV and I used it for about a week. [Disclaimer : The product I used was from a local store]

Its stylish, and adds a lot of picture enrichment. If you love sports or action movies, try the game mode and you will notice a distinct difference. Quite impressive.

This TV will not be a good fit in the living room, for one reason it is quite small, and also the bigger reason, the sound quality is very poor.

If you are looking at a small room, I would say this is a good fit, but definitely not for the living room.

Even if you are desperate to pick this one up, you may want to try the WHITE model, which is really cool to look at [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001U88P8K?ie=UTF8&tag=tvrecommendations-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001U88P8K]

LG 37LG50 37 Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

Displays HDTV programs in full 1920 x 1080p resolution for a more detailed picture.Unlike other sensors which can only sense brightness of ambient light, LG’s “Intelligent Sensor” uses 4,096 sensing steps to evaluate its surroundings. The result is a picture optimized for it’s surroundings, more pleasing to watch and which can also save up to 50% in power consumption. The AV Mode optimizes the picture into Cinema, Sports, and game Mode according to the video and audio content. The viewer has the ability to quickly choose the correct mode for the picture they are viewing.Automatically enhances and amplifies the sound of human voice frequency range to help keep dialog audible when background noise swells. This TV contains the detailed calibrations necessary for professional certification by the Imaging Science Foundation. The resulting ISF “day” and “night” modes will then be accessible by the user to experience the best their LG HDTV has to offer.

5 Stars Great TV for the price, no problems.
I purchased this tv in December 2009 and have had zero problems with it. The intelligent sensor is great and adjusts the picture automatically to the light level. HD cable and video games look great in 1080p. Perfect tv for the bedroom like where I have it.

5 Stars Very happy customer
This 37-Inch 1080p LG TV has a fantastic picture. The color is bright and sharp. The design is crisp and clean. Everything we wanted to know about the TV was in the description and specs in the ad on Amazon. We’re very happy with this TV.

5 Stars the best
The tv came in three days it was delivered by a nice couple who carried it in. it was better than going to a store and buying it by the way no store by me had this size. i will buy here again

5 Stars Great TV for a Small Room
This TV looks great in my apartment. Do better TVs exist? Absolutely. Do they cost a LOT more? Absolutely. I have had no regrets of this purchase.

5 Stars Fabulous!
We are extremely pleased with this TV. It was easy to set up, even though the stand screws were a bit funny, like others here have mentioned. However, only 1 of the 4 screws gave us trouble, and that was about 30 seconds or less.

Our prior set was pretty crummy, so I suppose anything short of nothing would be an improvement! However, the picture on this LG is awesome, especially the HD channels. The sound is fine for us and we don’t have surround. I guess if we did, we’d be even happier. For us, it is just great.

If you do NOT like glossy screens, this is the set for you. The matte finish is perfect and there is no glare from any angle. We would highly recommend this set if you need something in the 37″ size.

5 Stars SamsungLN52B750
We have had this tv for about 30 days now and really enjoy the quality. The picture is what the other reviewers said it was. The shipper brought the tv in unpacked it and hooked it up. They were very careful and professional.

My wife and I watch a lot recorded television in the evenings when we have time to sit down and enjoy it. This tv has really brought more enjoyment into the experience. There is more detail and color than the tv we replaced.

5 Stars WOW! Incredible picture!
Absolutely incredible picture right out of the box! We’ve had a rear projection TV for years and this is our first LCD so we were worried about motion blur. NONE noticed. Sporting events look phenomenal. The detail is unheard of. There was a recommendation to turn Dynamic Contrast off. But this is what gives the details such as faces in the crowd, blades of grass, etc. We love it and have played around with the picture settings but have decided so far not to adjust any of them. We like the crisp, detailed image.

I am no technical wiz, but I suggest changing the audio since the default “custom” sounds hallow. There are many great audio options in the menu settings. We are happy with “standard”. Be aware however that certain features such as Game mode only work with “custom” audio. Kind of a bummer. We just won’t experiment with game mode. Obviously for those using a surround system none of this matters. We are happy with the TVs audio after changing the setting.

Screen glare was another concern, but worth the risk for the improved features on this TV. Ours is next to a sliding glass door and faces two large windows. When the TV is off, the glare is like a mirror. However, when on, glare is hardly noticable. Yeah, if you look for it you can find it, but it does not affect the viewing pleasure whatsoever. Pretty remarkable.

As far as delivery, Pilot service was good. BUT it was delivered from Amazon quickly, then sat at their warehouse for a week before making it to our home. Evidently they have been getting swamped with this order so things are backed up. Due to freezing temps they were unable to plug it in for us and test things, but they took it out of the box, attached the stand and placed in on our table. Pretty nice.

Overall, we are thrilled with this TV!

5 Stars Amazingly Clear Picture
This is my second HDTV and its absolutely great. The picture is very crisp and football very fun to watch! Would be happy to answer any questions if you would like but overall its just a great tv. Feel free to email.

1 Star A miserable experience
My 32 inch Samsung LCD was great for five months then died a spectacular death. While watching it one day, a huge spark arced out of the top of the TV, and it was absolutely dead. That was the start of my trouble as warranty service was horrendous. I made nearly two dozen phone calls to Samsung, their warranty service contractor and the various technicians. Scheduled service visits would result in no one showing up. It took nearly a month and a half to get replacement parts installed. I’ll never buy a Samsung product again.

3 Stars WAY too reflective
This TV is great at a lot of things, but none of that matters because it is VERY reflective – even at night, you see the reflection of even the smallest light sources. We got this for a bright room because my experience had been that LCDs are less reflective than plasmas, but it turns out that for this TV at least, that’s not the case. A much better bargain and quality would be the new Panasonic plasmas (G series for instance) where the 54″ THX certified display is less reflective, better picture, less money.
