5 Stars Bargain winner
Just purchased this gem a few days ago and its performance has been spectacular. Setup was quite easy and multiple tweaks allow you to view the picture according to your individual taste. Blu-ray movies are as clear as you could possibly want, and baseball and football games on high def cable are equally enjoyable to watch.
With this set, you don’t need to spend big bucks to obtain superior performance. It’s a bargain winner.
5 Stars Several pros, some cons.
I got this LCD to replace an Aquos 42D65U; mainly because of my old set lacked a 10-bit panel and 120Hz video processor, features that are present with this set.
I am kind of picky regarding features and while some people might think Im a bit exaggerated regarding details this review is to address anyone whom needs to know specific details to help to decide about getting this set.
PROS:
-There are a lot of options in the menu that let you fine-tune the calibration of the image. If you own a calibration DVD or Blu ray you can easily achieve a perfect image and color balance that can also be tweaked to your personal taste.
-Input lag in GAME Mode is practically inexistent; I read that some brands have severe input lag while other brands also offer some sort of GAME mode to reduce such lag, but after personal comparisons SHARP manages it better.
-120Hz processing gives you a very smooth image and not as exaggerated as displayed by other brands and also NO artifacts!
many people turn this option off because it sometimes look unnatural, and I agree. Watching a movie that looks like a soap opera its not cool and sometimes it looks just plain silly and eerie, but this set manages it without going to the extreme and looks smooth and natural…and you can just turn it off if it bothers you.
Also note this: NO artifacts!
CONS:
note: I repeat, Im picky, maybe you wont notice these CONS and if you do you may not give a lot of thought to it as they are not catastrophic faults.
-that 10-bit panel promise of smooth transition between colors is not quite true. While it certainly alliviates some instances of color transition, that step between different shades of the same color are still present, not a deal-breaker issue, maybe you even havent noticed it.
-Light Banding, If you dont know what banding is, dont look for it, dont go fishing for problems. Old Aquos set had this problem and VERY more noticeable than it is in this set; also not a deal-breaker but mildly annoying if you look for it and visible only in specific panning scenes.
-Transitions of skin tones in faces sometimes look a bit posterized, or softened. Im stubborn and picky I want to see the pores on averyone faces, be able to count the eyelashes! But if you watch TV from the recommended distance then its absolutely no problem and also it might be a matter of personal taste for some people since professionals recommend to set the sharpness of the picture at low settings. Turning down the Fine Motion and dejudder settings dont alleviate this issue, but as I said, its only somewhat visible in skin tones at close-ups, otherwise the details of objects are spot-on.
MOVIE and GAME modes are my recommended settings since I found both DYNAMICs, STANDARD, PC and USER modes more of a chore to calibrate and ultimately pointless since movie/game work perfect for me.
The picture is gorgeous, Blu Ray movies look amazing and both Xbox and PS3 also have excellent image quality and no lag. The price is really accesible compared to other brands and it might not have LAN connectivity or included content as weather widgets or cooking recipes as competing sets but you might already have several devices that offer those functions and its not a big deal.
So if you are disappointed in looking around the web or forums for those very specific details regarding this LCD I hope this helps you.
4 Stars It’s good “out of the box” but not perfect
I decided to take the plunge and get this TV after my last TV (a HDTV CRT) had its tube burst on me this summer. My requirements were pretty straightforward:
- 1080p (have to be future proof)
- 46″
- 120Hz or greater refresh rate so I don’t have to deal with blurring when I’m watching sports
I’m happy with my Sharp LC46E77U with one exception: I think I’m seeing some blurring. Not a lot of blurring by any means, but I wasn’t expecting any blur from a 120Hz TV. To be completely honest with you, I’m not sure if it’s due to the broadcasts I’m watching or the TV causing ghosting effects, but it is a little bothersome right now.
The TV is great for almost all my daily viewing needs. We’ll just have to see if the small amount of blur bothers me during football season.

Quality
I had another LCD Sharp for four years before this one. That one has survived two cross-country moves and the pixels are still perfect. My feeling is that Sharp’s panels tend to have fewer dead pixels than their competition. Also, there are many fewer complaints about the sets suddenly not turning on after two months (in stark contrast to Samsung). So I regard Sharp as a high-quality but relatively cheap LCD TV maker.
Picture
The picture quality is fine (I’m not a videophile) and HDTV really is lovely. Imagine being able to see the food served on the Food network… to say nothing of a football or golf ball. I like the 120MHz motion de-juddering, but I have it turned to low rather than high. It really is quite unnatural in the high setting – everything looks like an episode of the Teletubbies. Maybe I’ll get used to it. The “OPC” thing is annoying, but you can turn it off and/or stop the little leaves from appearing every thirty seconds. I think it has something to do with dynamic contrast, which takes the ambient light in the room into account, but I can’t be sure. Suffice it to say, the picture is pretty good.
Sound
Also fine – how loud do you want it? Actually, the bass is a little overdone, but I’ve hooked up a soundbar and everything sounds great now. Nicely enough, this set acts a bit like a receiver: all my audio signals get channelled into the TV through HDMI connections and then I use a digital audio output to send it to my soundbar. I don’t need multiple wires to connect my soundbar. I thought that was a nice feature.
Set-up
Easy. Clear manual. Good menus. Functional remote control (which also operates my other Sharp TV and looks almost identical!).
Why buy?
The styling is fine. It’s not as thin as the latest Samsungs but it’s only 40 lb (that’s considerably lighter than last year’s D85U, which this replaces) and the design works well.
It’s energy efficient. Again, only the much more expensive Samsung LED-based LCDs are better, but they don’t have even lighting across the whole screen. Oh, there’s a Philips Eco-TV, too, but I never saw that in the shops.
It’s high quality and does the job. Basically, it’s a brand name product with the latest technology at a no-name price.
Why only 4 stars?
I wanted an LED set! No, seriously, this is a great TV with plenty of inputs (9 by my count, of which 5 are HDMI) and it’s energy efficient and light enough to transport or wall-mount. It’s not the lightest or the brightest or the loudest or the fastest, nor is it the cheapest, but it’s a good compromise on all those things.
5 Stars Very pleased with our Sharp LC46E77U HDTV
We have had the LC46E77U for about a month and we are very pleased. We have the LC46E77U hooked to a Tivo HD box and digital cable. The combination is a true joy.
Setup is very easy. I really didn’t have to do much. Setting up the picture was surprisingly simply… the picture was practically perfect out of the box. We have a 26″ Samsung HDTV and setting up the the picture on that TV took a lot more tweeking. The controls were easy enough to use and I had a picture I was happy with in no time. The Tivo set up the channels for me, so no fuss with that.
I have the LC46E77U set to adjust automatically to the picture source and all HD and SD channels are clear and proportionate with side top bars where needed and the picture is never stretched, deformed or unclear.
HD channels are stunning. Very sharp, colors are just right. I have noticed that the quality of HD content can vary depending on the source. Some content seems to be shot and/or processed by better equipment. The very best HD content looks almost 3D. Series Equator and Planet Earth are so clear and vivid that I can’t take my eyes off of it… and that’s just on cable. I haven’t even tried Blu-ray yet.
Sports on the LC46E77U look fantastic. I wanted the 120Hz feature for this reason and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s baseball season (the greatest sport ever invented) and it looks wonderful. I’ve seen some car racing, Tour de France and X-games and they all made me feel like I was right there at the event. I can’t wait for football to start!
SD channels look very good. Of course we are hooked on the HD channels, but when we do need to watch something which is SD, it’s really pretty good.
Viewing angles are very good and screen glare reduction is good. I have a sliding glass door in the room which is very bright in the morning. This is the only time I see reflections and they are not that bad. My old tube TV was much worse. The LC46E77U can automatically adjust to the light in the room and this seems to work well.
Sound is OK. I didn’t expect much from a flat panel TV since the speakers have to be pretty small. There’s really nothing wrong with the speakers; they are loud enough and don’t sound tinny, but they do not have a very rich sound. I have the TV’s analog audio output going to a pretty old stereo and the sound is quite good. I’m sure it would be even better with the optical audio output hooked to a more modern sound system, but I’m happy.
Watching DVDs with a Phillips DVD player which upscales to 1080P looks as good as the HD channels from cable. I don’t have a Blu-Ray player but it’s hard to imagine that it would look much better than the upscaling DVD. I think I can wait for the Blu-Ray prices to drop some more before going that route.
I have hooked a Macbook to the LC46E77U (via an HDMI to DVI-D cable) and it is amazing. The LC46E77U uses the full 1920×1080 from the Mac. We ran slide shows of our digital photos off the Mac and we were blown away by the perfect quality of our photos displayed on the 46″ monitor. Photo viewing will never be the same at our house.
The cabinet is very attractive and well built. The gold champagne accent at the bottom of the bezel is subtle and nice. The swivel base is very handy if you want to reach around the back hook up an input.
There are plenty of input and output connectors on this TV. I can’t imagine anyone would have a need for more. Having several connectors on the side is very nice.
Overall I am very pleased and really can’t think of anything negative. For the price, quality and features, I don’t think this set can be beat.

Very happy with this purchase. Got it from Amazon for 850.00 shipped no tax, so cant complain about that! 5 hdmi inputs plus pc inputs makes this a very scaleable tv. People complain about pixels up close. Yes you will see some blocks up close (1 or 2 feet away) but from my sitting distance of 8 – 14 feet, the screen is crystal clear. HD looks amazing of course. Xbox360 in 1080 is fantastic. Speakers are garbage though, but you should expect that on any LCD or Plasma, unless you are dropping 1500.00 +. A word about LCD vs. Plasma. There are valid arguments for and against both technologies. For me it came down to 1 simple thing. Plasma generates heat, and heat and electronics dont mix!
5 Stars Fantastic TV – Great Image and Quality
We got this earlier this year, and have been very pleased with it! It has clear picture and is great to watch. We don’t really use the volume on it as we have a speaker system, the sound is ok though without it. Amazon even set it up in my living room for me with the white glove delivery. One thing to note, if you turn on the light auto adujst it may interfere with your cable remote operation. We had swapped out 3 cable boxes to realize it was a setting on the TV that was sending out a signal that made the remote not work.

Sharp really got it right with this TV. The updated styling and the wonderful picture quality make this TV and outstanding value. More inputs than you could ever want (10) and the best auto aspect ratio adjustment I’ve ever seen.
1 Star Sharp Aquos LC42D62U panel problem
My Sharp Aquos LC42D62U encountered an LCD panel problem in only it’s 3rd year of use. I purchased the product from PC Richard. I also purchased an extended 3 year warranty from PC Richard. When I encountered the problem, I had already moved outside PC Richard’s service area so they refunded my money. Had I purchased a warranty direct from Sharp, maybe they would have covered the problem. I was not given the option of purchasing the warranty direct from Sharp by PC Richard so Sharp is not willing to accept the cost of the PC Richard warranty to correct the problem. They are only offering pro-rated cost to replace the TV. My next TV will not be a Sharp. So I guess the message here is buy the extended warranty direct if you can, and the product and service is likely to be better from Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, etc.
5 Stars Very good HDTV at a great price!
I am very satisfied with this HDTV after about three weeks of use. I relied almost exclusively on the Consumer Reports endorsement in buying this, never even saw it in a store. Bought “used” through Warehouse Deals, but received a new HDTV with the most minor damage to the shipping box – so my deal was even better than most (IMHO).
The set has so many input options (5 HDMI is ridiculous!) and the 1080p resolution is superb. Plugged in HD DVR, DVD and Wii – turned on and voila, picture came up automatically.
There are lots of customization features for input labeling and control.
Picture customization is above average for sets in this price range, and useful. I found the default setting to be dark – after two corrections, wife is happy.
Sound is much better than I expected, it can get loud if needed, but doesn’t clip or get too tweety.
Extremely satisfied.

Since this 65″ Sharp has not be released yet my review is only about one thing that I do know about this Sharp so far.
I been waiting for a while for this Sharp to get released and then the pictures and info finnaly come out, its got a GOLD bezel ????
What in the world is Sharp thinking ???
Is the gold suppose to match everything else in my hometheater set-up,,,,, like my Gold colored HD cable box and my Gold colored BluRay player and my Gold colored HD DVD player ?
When will these stupid panel makers figure out, most, if not ALL, of us consumers of us want a matt black bezel that does not reflect room lighting and we dont want shinny gloss black or chrome or gold or red accents on out flat panels !!!!
I will probaly buy the Sharp 65″ LCD when it’s released, but I will buy it “in spite” of how it looks and not “because” of how it looks.
I will also buy a can of matt finnish black spray paint from HomeDepot to paint over the gold accents.

3 Stars The Sharp LC65E77UM Aquos LCD TV
I have had this TV for a couple of weeks now. I waited a month from the day I ordered it to the day it finally arrived.
This TV is not heavy and it was easy putting it up on the wall mounted rack. I was pleasantly surprised.
Let me get this straight to anyone who is concerned, the gold bezel is like a faint gloss on the bottom of the TV. Hard to notice. I am not certain why they put that light color on the set, but you have to strain to notice it. When set up on in my theater room, this is not noticeable in any way. Don’t worry about it if you are dithering on purchasing this set because of the gold bezel.
The picture is stunning and excellent. It is the best picture I have ever seen on a set. It’s got some interesting features, for example the TV has a built in ambient light sensor which ramps the brightness of the picture up and down based on the light surrounding the TV. Turn it off. It dulls the picture quality in darkness. I have found no way to make it useful.
Folks, this TV has two major flaws but there is a work around for the first so bear with me. The second issue, only time will tell.
First, the TV seems like it is designed to be the hub of all of your HDMI components. The folks at Sharp assume that everyone will rush to buy a Sharp AV receiver, Sharp Blu-Ray player, etc. and have them work together with their Aquos Link. They are dreaming.
In my setup, I use a Pioneer AV receiver, a Panasonic Blu-Ray player and a DirecTV DVR, Satellite Receiver. All is HDMI and state of the art.
I wanted to pipe all of my HDMI components through the Pioneer AV Receiver and send an HDMI video signal to the Sharp TV. Works fine except the Sharp TV pops up a message “An Incompatible Audio Signal Has Been Received, etc., etc.”.
Folks, I turned off the audio of the TV (selectable from the Sharp Menu), turned off the Aquos Link and I still got the message. Turns out, the TV REQUIRES PCM audio NOT HDMI only!!!! Even if you turn off the speakers on the TV, it still pops this silly message up.
Interestingly, there are only two ways to get this message off the bloody screen. First, you can turn the volume off the Sharp TV down to zero. Voila! The message goes away. The other way is to find a way to disable a pure HDMI audio signal from your AV receiver.
Okay, I found a work around by turning the volume to zero, but you would think that Sharp would be more interested in working with different HDMI components that are not Aquos Link. Nope, they don’t. Very disappointing.
Anyway, I still like the set.
There is a second flaw that I do not know if it will fix itself or not. The bloody set “pops” loudly every few minutes or so. It’s like the plastic is settling when it heats up. It’s a strange noise but seems to be reducing over time. I don’t like this problem as I don’t have a work around. Time will tell.
Anyway, I still like the set.
Hindsight being 20/20, I think I would get a Sony or Samsung 65 inch LCD knowing what I know now. They are more expensive by 25% or so, but these two issues should not be in a high end TV.

3 Stars Cheapest 65in lcd on the market and it shows!!!
First my set up.I have Dish network that is not HD.It is hooked up to the TV using S-Video.I have the OTA antenna hooked to a Panasonic Digital DVD recorder.I am using HDMI from the recorder to the TV.The picture using Dish Network is not any better than my old Sony 57in CRT TV and not as good as my 27in Olevia lcd TV.Just letting you know that unless you spend the extra Dollars for the HD programming this TV will not be HD on SAT even on local HD broadcasts( I have no Idea why my Olevia has a better picture,both are using Dish Network ).
When watching the OTA broadcasts the picture is much better.But even when the broadcast is in HD The picture is still no better than my Olevia Tv.The picture is not that bad but is not that great for a $3,000+ set.The SOUND is really bad even wide open it is still really low and is not very clear.I know I will be in the market for a Home theater system.As you can see I am a little disapointed with this Tv.I am not an expert on HD TV’s but I had expected much better.When you first get this set go in to the menu and turn off the OPC it just makes the picture Dimmer and this picture needs all the help it can get.I have not noticed the popping the other reviewer mentioned.Once in the week I have had it when I turned it on and the sound was cutting in and out very fast.As for the Gold Bezel you have to look very close to even see it.If that was my biggest complaint I would be a Happy Camper.I would have Rated this TV 2 1/2 stars instead of 3 if it were possible.I do not recommend this TV as a good buy for the money.I am ashamed to let people I know how much I gave for a set with this picture quality.If any one has any suggestions on how I can improve the picture Quality short of paying extra for HD on dish network.Feel free to let me know.Thanks jakins

5 Stars Awesome TV; perfect size; good price (1.3k)
I recently purchased a Sharp LC52E77UN and gotta tell you, the TV looks pretty darn awesome. Firstly I would recommend the 52″ size to anyone if you have the space. Now onto the picture quality – I was a bit disappointed w/ the quality of some of the SD channels (abc, fox, etc..), however others like food and discovery channel were definitey above par – I blame it on the DirectTV subscription I get in this condo building. I am waiting to get my Mini-DVI to HDMI cable I ordered from amazon to see the difference in quality/sharpness of true 1080p when I hook my mac in. I checked out the HD version of the TV’s older models in best buy and it just looks plain awesome.
I’ll post pictures and more details about the TV in the upcoming weeks as I get to play around with it more.

Got my Mini-DVI to HDMI cable few days ago. The macbook to TV hookup is awesome and the picture is phenomenal – crisp and clear. I also followed the calibration settings found at avsforum and a bit of my personal tweaking and the video quality increased drastically for both SD channels and regular DVD’s

5 Stars Sharp Aquos 52″ review
I gave this review 5 stars for everything about the product, but not at all for the delivery arrangement. This is not that I had any problem with the actual delivery, but the expectation of the delivery. I was advised by the seller (at the time of purchase on Amazon) that the delivery would be something like 7 – 10 days and it came within that time frame, which was fine by me, except that they didnt give any tracking number nor any other information about how to find out which day my tv was really coming. Of course the problem was that I couldnt arrange for someone to be there since most of us work during the day hours. In any case, the delivery people were good about it, and re-scheduled the delivery for the next day (since they called me in the afternoon at work to let me know they were at my house!). In the meantime, I had emailed the seller and tried to call them a few times asking for delivery tracking information, to no avail.
In the end, no harm, delivery was made within the time frame stated, and the tv set is great.
If tracking info was simply given, then there would have been no stress or headache about arranging for someone to be there.
5 Stars switching from SONY to sharp….review in progress as of now
Recived mine 2 weeks ago. CEVA put it in my patio,(didnt even bring it in), hauled it inside. I told driver that I need to check operational level of TV & he mentioned to take it with DELL(I bought frm DELL) if anything is wrong( so no + points for CEVA). TV box is fine, I tried looking for banding/cloud issue by connecting PC to TV ,but me & 2 more pairs of eye cannot find anything odd or any deadpixel. TV is running fine but HDTV qual is not as good as what I’m getting on my BRAVIA HDTV (720p) (thru cable). Bluray seems fine (again cannot find considerable positive difference b/w my old 720p o/p & this one). Overall, looks good. Cannot test 120HZ difference (or dont know how to). Oh!!! I turned off OPC first thing to make PIC more crispier…still figuring what settings should I pick for picture tuning. no PIP is bummer(still can live w/o it).
Btw!!! I experienced some flashing on my PS3 while watching bluray thru it, it’s just pic is gone and come bck every few sec for some time..I jiggled my HDMI connection on back of TV, & then plugged in @ side HDMI port..happend again with my DVD hdmi next time, I swaped ports..so far no flashing…Maybe cable fault or that hdmi port gone bad(i/p 6 labeled on tv)…Investigation in process…I’ll write back update in 2 months…for now..it’s 5 star(call me biased…huh)….I think 1-2month usage will determine it’s faith. Overall no complaint(cant expect xbr for 1.3K)
5 Stars sharp LC52E77U TV
We had a 2 yr old sharp 42 inch 1080P, 60Mz TV and it was wonderful, but was stolen when our home was broken into. We replace it with another Sharp 52 in. and the picture is even better on this one. It has the 120Mz. I would recommend getting the 120 Mz. It is great, the picture is so clear and the delivery went great and we saved a lot of money, Amazon was much cheeper than same TV at the store and it was on sale.
5 Stars GREAT TV FOR THE MONEY..
About whoever compared this tv to a Samsung. I had a A750 model. I can say that the picture on this tv is better. The regular channels look better because the people look more in proportion and not pulled out looking. This tv has more picture adjustment controls than any tv I have ever seen. I don’t find them confusing. I think they are fun. Anyway I was able to buy this for under 1300 new. I would be paying close to 2000 or maybe more for a Samsung. The price difference is a big difference. I believe this is the Best lcd that Sharp has made thus far. It comes with a 15 month warranty as well. No complaints. Nice TV..

5 Stars Great TV, Fantastic Deal!
I was surprised in my quest to upgrade my HDTV to a larger flat panel, that I would also be able to afford 120hz! I had narrowed my search down to the 60hz version of this TV until I discovered this great deal for the new 120hz version. So off the bat, the deal is fantastic!
As for the TV itself, I am very impressed.
Unpacking (J&R goes the extra mile and adds extra packing to the box before shipping) and setup were easy and took about ten minutes by myself.
The picture quality is amazing. I have upgraded to this TV from a Philips 26″ 1080i Tube HDTV, so I am not new to HDTV, but I was surprised how much better this picture was. It is crystal clear, bright, sharp (no pun intended) and stunning. Besides the usual suspects like the moving pictures, the text on this – whether from the TV setup menus or from my Satellite receiver’s menus and guides, etc. – is super sharp and exceptionally readable. The blacks are black, the whites are white and the colors are vibrant and perfectly saturated; from things I had read, I thought I was going to need to have a new LCD TV calibrated, but I don’t see the need (I ran color bars to it and everything looked perfect!).
One thing that I was little disappointed with was the automatic picture control. Not that it didn’t work as advertised, but in some lighting situations, I found that it muddied the picture a little – it wasn’t always noticeable, but in certain scenes it became apparent. Not a problem though as I turned it off and tweaked the Backlight and Brightness to exactly where I wanted it and all is good.
This TV comes with plenty of inputs – 4 HDMIs!
The setup menus are well organized and easy to use and intuitive; I have never had to refer to the manual to figure out how to do something. The Input selection is straight forward; someone one here complained that you had to scroll through the list instead of just hit the button until you get to the input you want – not exactly true. First, if you tap the input button it scrolls through the on-screen list, but works like my previous TV did; but, the setup menu gives you the added bonus of turning off the inputs in the list that you aren’t using so you don’t have to scroll through them.
As for the tuner, I can’t comment as I use satellite and couldn’t get an antenna signal here without a 1000 foot pole to put it on. But, I don’t think that tuners are a major concerns in TVs for manufacturers anymore as more and more people are getting satellite or have cable or are moving to things like Apple TV.
Overall, I can fully recommend this TV and even Sharp’s customer service as I had to call them with one question.
(A note on initial setup – even if you aren’t hooking this up to an antenna or some other source that hooks into the antenna F Connector, don’t skip the channel search during the initial setup screens as this setup of tasks will come up every time you turn in the TV until you do. No need to connect a source, just pick Analog and let it do its thing unsuccessfully.)
[A second note after using this TV for a few weeks: I discovered an interesting anomaly: When I first turn the TV on, my Dish VIP622 Satellite Receiver Remote barely works for the first minute or so and then slowly begins to respond over the next couple of minutes; then a few minutes later, the receiver acts like the INFO button is being pressed repetitively (even with the remote batteries out) and this lasts for a few minutes and goes away. Then everything is normal. If I change the remote frequency, the problem disappears completely (unfortunately, that screws up my Slingbox). This problem started with getting this new TV and I have experimented and narrowed this problem down to the warm up period of the TV - as it warms up, it is affecting (and emulating) whatever frequency the remote uses. In the end, this may only be a problem for VIP622 owners and then only if you also use a Slingbox (because it doesn't appear that you can change which frequency it uses).]

Not a techie person, but found this TV so easy to set up. Beautiful picture and the sound quality is OK. Hooked up to surround sound and it’s great. Love the swivel stand. The anti-glare screen works well. Way too many nice features to mention. The price is right and the quality is there.

We had the Sharp Aquos LC42D85U and it is a beautiful set. One warning however: after working with Sharp for 2 months to get the D85U running right we found that the advanced signal processing electronics can easily result in lip synch problems if you are getting your signal from an over the air antenna. Sharp wasn’t able to fix this problem with software updates but did replace this set with a new LC40E77UN that shows no lip synch problems. If you have cable the D85U will make you happy, otherwise look at the E77UN; it is the set for you.

Great “current day” price for a great tv! Not very tech savy but from what I’ve seen so far it is awesome! I probably wouldn’t use a 40″ tv as a computer monitor, but hey… to each their own. No dead spots on the tv, blur from fast motion games not an issue, and big difference from my samsung 52″ plasma 720p as far as quality! Watched the Dark Knight movie on blu-ray and some of the Special FX looked kinda fake… Step it movie guys the tv’s are winning! Very happy so far with tv and will update as I get more time with the tv.
