5 Stars Simply the Best
I’ve owned nothing but Sony TV’s since the 70’s.Always excellent and never any problems.
This 32 XBR is no exception. Picture quality is the best of any 32″ I tested, the design of the set is superb.Even non high def channels look great.
Higly recommended!
5 Stars My 32″ Monitor
I had been shopping the market for a good TV for months before I settled on this Bravia. My size requirements and budget limited me to a TV in the 32-37″ range, and the opened box deal was too good to pass up. Ideally, I would have rather bought a plasma for the richer colors, but because of my plans to use this as a replacement computer monitor, and because I leave my computer on a lot, I went with an LCD for its smaller size and to avoid the dreaded “burn in”. I have my 360 and PS3 hooked up to it, and both look absolutely stunning, but the awesomeness of having this as my computer monitor trumps them both! I tried a number of set-ups to achieve this and found that buying a DVI to HDMI cable ($20 here on amazon) is the best solution, and the quality is, near as makes no difference, the same or better than a standard monitor. The TV does require a little bit of settings-fiddling to get the screen to fit properly, but it only took a few minutes of digging through the immense properties menu. Also, you have to make sure your video drivers are fully up-to-date, and there may even be additional HDTV drivers to download, depending on the make of your video card.
To anyone looking for an HDTV-computer monitor solution, I highly recommend this TV and the DVI to HDMI cable. This, on top of the 1080p graphics from an Xbox or PS3 make this TV worth it. I can’t wait to get my HDTV cable box from Comcast and complete the whole package.
5 Stars Usual Sony Quality
After looking and comparing HDTV’s for several months I finally decided to opt out for top quality as opposed to size… I have always been very happy with Sony products and this is no exception… I am well pleased and glad that I chose the KDL-32XBR6… I look forward to many hours of pleasure… I was also pleased with the delivery, which was free… Pilot was the delivery service and delivered two days early….

4 Stars One of my more tasteful reviews
So here is the bottom line on this Sony…
1. Beautiful appeal, the product simply leaps out of the box it will actually look better then described.
2. The options truly due seem limitless, picture, screen, sound, and more with stunning capabilities to adjust even the very finest of viewing detail.
3. The TV menu (if you like the PS3 styling) is wonderful and currently supasses most of what is on the market.
4. When other reviewers speak of 3D like picture quality yes this is very true, the color reproduction of this TV is outstanding and with the Bravia Engine 2 you will enjoy very life like images.
5. The TVs internal software is updatable with a USB stick there is one update available at the time of this review, very neat feature.
6. The built in TV Guide feature is amazing with listings for almost every channel, it will tell you whats on and whats next with many search features (need not apply for those of you with cable boxs)
7. Many inputs and ways to select them very simple and easy to use.
8. The TV will dim/adjust the screen brightness based on the lighting in your room.
Issues noticed:
1. The TV will create a “new plastic odor” when turned on for the first couple weeks however this is not an issue for most people since the smell is not too strong and is that of just plastic.
2. The software runs a tad slow and will lag minorly but is well worth it for its capabilites, also the TV takes a few moments to load.
3. The TV will give off a slight hummmm while turned on this can be very irritating in a quite room.
4. I received a complimentary small scratch on the stand that came with mine, just a thought for the QC conscious
For those who are wondering the digtal compression artifacts and picture judder (MPEG noise) etc is very tolerable on this TV with many options to smooth out such things, also channel changing SD to SD is fairly quick.
In summation this TV is a good buy, lots of inputs and nice styling with solid performance to back it up.
As always, happy shopping =)
4 Stars Great picture, good value.
After years of our other Sony, got this for a song as a model closeout. Although the sound is weak,as with all HDTV reviews, with the home theatre set up it’s an exceptional TV. Twenty years of loving Sony TVs.

5 Stars Awesome TV; perfect size; good price (1.3k)
I recently purchased a Sharp LC52E77UN and gotta tell you, the TV looks pretty darn awesome. Firstly I would recommend the 52″ size to anyone if you have the space. Now onto the picture quality – I was a bit disappointed w/ the quality of some of the SD channels (abc, fox, etc..), however others like food and discovery channel were definitey above par – I blame it on the DirectTV subscription I get in this condo building. I am waiting to get my Mini-DVI to HDMI cable I ordered from amazon to see the difference in quality/sharpness of true 1080p when I hook my mac in. I checked out the HD version of the TV’s older models in best buy and it just looks plain awesome.
I’ll post pictures and more details about the TV in the upcoming weeks as I get to play around with it more.
UPDATE 08/21/2009
Got my Mini-DVI to HDMI cable few days ago. The macbook to TV hookup is awesome and the picture is phenomenal – crisp and clear. I also followed the calibration settings found at avsforum and a bit of my personal tweaking and the video quality increased drastically for both SD channels and regular DVD’s

5 Stars Sharp Aquos 52″ review
I gave this review 5 stars for everything about the product, but not at all for the delivery arrangement. This is not that I had any problem with the actual delivery, but the expectation of the delivery. I was advised by the seller (at the time of purchase on Amazon) that the delivery would be something like 7 – 10 days and it came within that time frame, which was fine by me, except that they didnt give any tracking number nor any other information about how to find out which day my tv was really coming. Of course the problem was that I couldnt arrange for someone to be there since most of us work during the day hours. In any case, the delivery people were good about it, and re-scheduled the delivery for the next day (since they called me in the afternoon at work to let me know they were at my house!). In the meantime, I had emailed the seller and tried to call them a few times asking for delivery tracking information, to no avail.
In the end, no harm, delivery was made within the time frame stated, and the tv set is great.
If tracking info was simply given, then there would have been no stress or headache about arranging for someone to be there.
5 Stars switching from SONY to sharp….review in progress as of now
Recived mine 2 weeks ago. CEVA put it in my patio,(didnt even bring it in), hauled it inside. I told driver that I need to check operational level of TV & he mentioned to take it with DELL(I bought frm DELL) if anything is wrong( so no + points for CEVA). TV box is fine, I tried looking for banding/cloud issue by connecting PC to TV ,but me & 2 more pairs of eye cannot find anything odd or any deadpixel. TV is running fine but HDTV qual is not as good as what I’m getting on my BRAVIA HDTV (720p) (thru cable). Bluray seems fine (again cannot find considerable positive difference b/w my old 720p o/p & this one). Overall, looks good. Cannot test 120HZ difference (or dont know how to). Oh!!! I turned off OPC first thing to make PIC more crispier…still figuring what settings should I pick for picture tuning. no PIP is bummer(still can live w/o it).
Btw!!! I experienced some flashing on my PS3 while watching bluray thru it, it’s just pic is gone and come bck every few sec for some time..I jiggled my HDMI connection on back of TV, & then plugged in @ side HDMI port..happend again with my DVD hdmi next time, I swaped ports..so far no flashing…Maybe cable fault or that hdmi port gone bad(i/p 6 labeled on tv)…Investigation in process…I’ll write back update in 2 months…for now..it’s 5 star(call me biased…huh)….I think 1-2month usage will determine it’s faith. Overall no complaint(cant expect xbr for 1.3K)
5 Stars sharp LC52E77U TV
We had a 2 yr old sharp 42 inch 1080P, 60Mz TV and it was wonderful, but was stolen when our home was broken into. We replace it with another Sharp 52 in. and the picture is even better on this one. It has the 120Mz. I would recommend getting the 120 Mz. It is great, the picture is so clear and the delivery went great and we saved a lot of money, Amazon was much cheeper than same TV at the store and it was on sale.
5 Stars GREAT TV FOR THE MONEY..
About whoever compared this tv to a Samsung. I had a A750 model. I can say that the picture on this tv is better. The regular channels look better because the people look more in proportion and not pulled out looking. This tv has more picture adjustment controls than any tv I have ever seen. I don’t find them confusing. I think they are fun. Anyway I was able to buy this for under 1300 new. I would be paying close to 2000 or maybe more for a Samsung. The price difference is a big difference. I believe this is the Best lcd that Sharp has made thus far. It comes with a 15 month warranty as well. No complaints. Nice TV..

4 Stars Definitely lives up to the hype…
I don’t have a super indepth review of this TV. Just a cut-to-the-chase review.
PROS:
- Amazing color
- High Definition sources look awesome. It’s REALLY hard to watch something in standard def 4×3 after seeing what this can do.
- Sweet design
- Easy enough menu navigation
- 120 Hz is a little hard to get used to. But this can be done in “stages” through the menu (off, low, med, high, auto)
CONS:
- Dreadfully slow response time when switching inputs. (I do this often, as my Mac G5 is connected via DVI-to-HDMI cable to one of the inputs and I switch between TV and PC often.)
- Picture-in-Picture works as long as one of the inputs is “TV” – as in the antenna. So if you have a cable box or satellite dish, forget it.
- Shipping was a bit of a headache. I got to pick the day, took that afternoon off work, only to have them call me to say it would be one day later. Waiting another day is not that big of a deal, but when I rearranged my schedule for this delivery day, it’s hard to turn my life upside down to match the delivery schedule.
- 120 Hz is a little hard to get used to. (a pro and a con)
That’s all I got, really. The bottom line is that I would purchase this TV again in a heartbeat and definitely have recommended it to other people.
5 Stars Excellent TV
I have owned this TV for almost a year now and have nothing but praise to offer. The picture is superb and the sound is good.
I have attached:
1. Satellite HD
2. Over the Air HD
3. Tivo HD
4. Computer
5. Bluray
6. DVD
7. Broadband
Everything works as advertised and looks fantastic. I ordered from Amazon.com and was shocked with how fast it was delivered. I had possession of my new TV two days after I ordered it!
It does have a shiny screen that reflects light and creates a bit of glare. You need to plan the location of your TV/light sources to minimize this. The picture is so bright and vivid that I have never found this to be that big of an issue.
If you buy this TV I’m sure you’ll be happy with it.
5 Stars Incredible TV at an outstanding price.
First off, I purchases this TV through Amazon warehouse deals which is the arm of Amazon that sells the “open box” items. These are usually items that have been returned or have minor cosmetic damage to either the unit or the packaging. When I purchased this TV, the description said that the set had minor cosmetic damage on the housing and the screen but when it arrived I examined thoroughly and honestly I could not find even the most minor of blemishes anywhere on the set – anywhere.
Once I was done being astonished by the condition it was in, I put in a Blu-Ray disc (in my samsung BDP-1600) and fired it up. Oh. My. God. The picture is just incredible. With the 120hz auto-motion, it is simply amazing. There’s no juttering, no sloppiness, nothing. It honestly looks as though you’re there on the set of the film.
It’s been repeated over and over again here in these reviews how great this is and it’s true, it is. So, I just decided to place this review here to a) further that impression and b) let anyone who’s considering ordering from Amazon warehouse deals know that it is definitely a good idea – you will NOT be disappointed.
5 Stars Still the best TV after a year
I’ve had my Samsung for nearly a year now. I pulled it out of the box and have never had to make any color adjustments or any other adjustments because the images were simply stunning right out of the box!! I absolutely love this tv and would recommend it to anyone looking to make a purchase. The colors are true and saturated. The whites are very white and the blacks are real black. There’s never been any of that blurring when the subject of the image is moving fast. The 120 handles it just fine. I can’t say enough about this TV. After a year I have no complaints at all!
5 Stars Best Picture Ever
Received my TV last February. Best picture I’ve ever seen on television. Sound is very good but not great but most likely would be if enhanced with just a cheap sound system. Football and movie viewing is outstanding and shows not in HD, while good, or mostly ignored now. I did watch the old movie “Shane” the other day that was not in HD and it was great. Movies from that period had outstanding pictures and color. If your set is as good as mine has been you’ll enjoy TV viewing much more. If you purchase this set I believe you’ll be very happy. I don’t see how viewing can get any better.
