5 Stars Simply the Best
I’ve owned nothing but Sony TV’s since the 70’s.Always excellent and never any problems.
This 32 XBR is no exception. Picture quality is the best of any 32″ I tested, the design of the set is superb.Even non high def channels look great.
Higly recommended!
5 Stars My 32″ Monitor
I had been shopping the market for a good TV for months before I settled on this Bravia. My size requirements and budget limited me to a TV in the 32-37″ range, and the opened box deal was too good to pass up. Ideally, I would have rather bought a plasma for the richer colors, but because of my plans to use this as a replacement computer monitor, and because I leave my computer on a lot, I went with an LCD for its smaller size and to avoid the dreaded “burn in”. I have my 360 and PS3 hooked up to it, and both look absolutely stunning, but the awesomeness of having this as my computer monitor trumps them both! I tried a number of set-ups to achieve this and found that buying a DVI to HDMI cable ($20 here on amazon) is the best solution, and the quality is, near as makes no difference, the same or better than a standard monitor. The TV does require a little bit of settings-fiddling to get the screen to fit properly, but it only took a few minutes of digging through the immense properties menu. Also, you have to make sure your video drivers are fully up-to-date, and there may even be additional HDTV drivers to download, depending on the make of your video card.
To anyone looking for an HDTV-computer monitor solution, I highly recommend this TV and the DVI to HDMI cable. This, on top of the 1080p graphics from an Xbox or PS3 make this TV worth it. I can’t wait to get my HDTV cable box from Comcast and complete the whole package.
5 Stars Usual Sony Quality
After looking and comparing HDTV’s for several months I finally decided to opt out for top quality as opposed to size… I have always been very happy with Sony products and this is no exception… I am well pleased and glad that I chose the KDL-32XBR6… I look forward to many hours of pleasure… I was also pleased with the delivery, which was free… Pilot was the delivery service and delivered two days early….

4 Stars One of my more tasteful reviews
So here is the bottom line on this Sony…
1. Beautiful appeal, the product simply leaps out of the box it will actually look better then described.
2. The options truly due seem limitless, picture, screen, sound, and more with stunning capabilities to adjust even the very finest of viewing detail.
3. The TV menu (if you like the PS3 styling) is wonderful and currently supasses most of what is on the market.
4. When other reviewers speak of 3D like picture quality yes this is very true, the color reproduction of this TV is outstanding and with the Bravia Engine 2 you will enjoy very life like images.
5. The TVs internal software is updatable with a USB stick there is one update available at the time of this review, very neat feature.
6. The built in TV Guide feature is amazing with listings for almost every channel, it will tell you whats on and whats next with many search features (need not apply for those of you with cable boxs)
7. Many inputs and ways to select them very simple and easy to use.
8. The TV will dim/adjust the screen brightness based on the lighting in your room.
Issues noticed:
1. The TV will create a “new plastic odor” when turned on for the first couple weeks however this is not an issue for most people since the smell is not too strong and is that of just plastic.
2. The software runs a tad slow and will lag minorly but is well worth it for its capabilites, also the TV takes a few moments to load.
3. The TV will give off a slight hummmm while turned on this can be very irritating in a quite room.
4. I received a complimentary small scratch on the stand that came with mine, just a thought for the QC conscious
For those who are wondering the digtal compression artifacts and picture judder (MPEG noise) etc is very tolerable on this TV with many options to smooth out such things, also channel changing SD to SD is fairly quick.
In summation this TV is a good buy, lots of inputs and nice styling with solid performance to back it up.
As always, happy shopping =)
4 Stars Great picture, good value.
After years of our other Sony, got this for a song as a model closeout. Although the sound is weak,as with all HDTV reviews, with the home theatre set up it’s an exceptional TV. Twenty years of loving Sony TVs.

I’m not going to submit a resume foretelling my experience with electronics, but I have enough to provide a worthy review in easy terms, I hate techno nuts. I have a 3 year old 55″ Sony, a 2008 32″ Toshiba and now this 24.5″ Samsung. By comparison, this TV is without question, Superior. I think it is a combination of evolving technology and Samsung engineering that is evident in picture, performance and ease. To keep it simple, spend the few more dollars if necessary to own this Television. We spend a lot of time in front of these things, buy a better one, and this brand is IT…for now. [...]. So if you have one and don’t like it, you better not complain, or we’ll talk about you. It’s that good a TV.
5 Stars Good Gaming Monitor
Bought this to replace an HP 22″ that did 1680×1050. I wanted a TV for the kids play room that would work as a computer monitor. I found this at a local wharehouse type members only store for 349 and thought I’d try it even though I usually wait for the reviews to come out. I am very happy with the computer monitor function and the HDMI input allows me to use an upconverting dvd player without having to run additional audio cables as I have no handy way of sharing the PC audio with the DVD player. I have only used it for over the air HDTV not via cable, so I can’t speak to that, but it functions very well with over the air HDTV. I did notice that it has an USB service port, so anything that may come up can be addressed by putting new firmware on it hopefully. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and can only assume that the store priced it as a P2570 versus the P2570HD. It seems very cheap considering how expensive LCD 26″ TVs still are (same price as this) and that it really looks great as a monitor for the PC. Slight light bleed from top and bottom when all black screen is being displayed, but not too bad. There is a remote for adjusting everything to taste and the on off button is more of a sensor where you barely touch over the indicator and it goes on or off. I am used to blue indicators and this has red ones, but that’s no big deal. Great product so far. Great deal.
5 Stars Great Monitor/HDTV product
First Impression on the p2570HD:
Samsung’s SyncMaster P2570HD offers plenty of inputs, a descent HDTV monitor, basic speakers, and a remote control with all necessary features. Also, great style and very good performance are included in a panel less than 2″ deep. But, no VGA cable included, no height or tilt adjustment and Samsung’s website does not have an updated driver for Windows 7. Best suitable for: Those that need (or want) a new big screen monitor that might be also be used as a TV. Specifications: LCD Display; HDTV/Monitor with 24.5 diagonal inches of screen. Paid $339.00 On Line.
Features and Performance: After searching on the Internet for reviews on the new Samsungs (not many found), decided on giving a try to this new product, the P2570HD. This is a computer monitor with multiple inputs; from VGA to HDMI that has an integrated TV tuner, speakers and even the power supply (connects directly to an outlet) in a fairly light device.
It is an attractive device with lots of shine, transparent surfaces and a matte screen. The base is a shiny black oval with hues of red on the perimeter. A transparent glass bluish neck anchors the monitor. The aspect ratio is 16:9 which makes it very modern looking when compared to the Apple products. The borders of the screen have a 3/16″ clear area with also some reddish hues and on the rear, all input jacks are recessed about one inch and face backwards, not downwards like other monitors/TVs. This can make hard flush wall mounting the device. Two small speakers face downward and there is an 18″ area on the rear upper part for heat dissipation (remember that the power supply is inside the device).
I tested the monitor with a 2002 Dell XPS running Win-XP and also tried with Windows 7 on the same computer. On this latest OS, the screen did not perform as well as when running XP; images were fuzzy. Tried to get an updated driver, but none (at least yet). With XP and the regular NVidia G-Force Video card the monitor performed excellent. Refresh rate was awesome, colors were bright, blacks were not seen and no distortion or bleeding of the screen was noted. In order to “stress” the video card to its limits (plus the shared RAM), was able to work with eight screens at the same time and even play a DVD trough the WMP-11 and at the same time, play that same movie stored on an External HDD trough VLC; no problems!
After a couple of hours, I decided to customize the settings for the display and used the remote control for this (instead of the touch sensing buttons on the lower R front area). The Remote is quite intuitive and settings were very easy to adjust for optimum viewing. Brightness and contrast had to be decreased to 67% compared with the factory settings which were 80% for both. Something unexpected, when switching from a regular 17 inch LCD monitor to this big screen, the mouse needs more area to properly work. Otherwise, adjustments need to be made for said device but I’ll try that later.
This is my initial impression on the p2570HD and I am quite satisfied with its performance, and especially the cost/factor value. I paid less than $350.00 shipping included and consider that it is a great device and will work as an excellent Monitor/TV alternative in my home office-guest bedroom, especially when out of town visitors want to watch TV or even DVDs.
During the next few days I will test the Samsung’s TV (and HDTV) capabilities as well as playback trough the different inputs; HDMI, composite, etc. Can’t wait to read expert Eric Franklin (from Cnet) official review on the p2570hd with specific performance measures and comparison with the LGs Flatron.
Recently read that a specific warehouse was selling this device for $350.00. I called all of them within a 50 mile radius of downtown Seattle and none had it. While you decide on which monitor/TV is best for your needs, here are some photos of the monitor so you can see what it looks like since obviously, you are considering it. As a monitor, I would give it five stars. Let’s see how it performs as an HDTV or even an HD-DVD player.

5 Stars Great product, great price
I used this cable to hook my pc up to my 37″ lcd tv. I was concerned as I had heard some cables don’t cut it or do not provide quality resolution. I had no problem with this product and it is extremely well priced.
5 Stars Good cable
Bought this to hook up our laptop with a 40″ Samsung LCD TV. Works perfectly, very reasonably priced. The audio cable could be a bit longer, it’s wrapped with the VGA cable and just splits off for a foot at the ends, but it’s not a huge deal.
5 Stars Awesome cable
This is a great product. The cable is well-built and sturdy. I had no trouble connecting my laptop to my LCD TV. The amazing thing is it is able to transmit video at 1920×1080 @60Hz resolution (don’t know if its a big deal). My laptop lacks an HDMI out port so had to use this. It does the job as good as an HDMI cable would do.
Absolutely no hassle in handling multiple cables…a VGA-to-VGA and auxiliary cable. Would definitely recommend it.

5 Stars REALLY NICE TV AND MONITOR
I wanted an HDTV for my desk so that I could work while watching the business networks in the morning. I have a 22 inch Samsung and a 19 inch Viewsonic. I build Web sites making two monitors a necessity. When I bought the Samsung 23 I was in a hurry. I didn’t even notice that I could use it as a monitor.
I connected the unit to my computer just to see the resolution. It is terrific. Unfortunately I need to use this thing as a TV only but I can say the resolution, colors and everything else are fantastic. Highly recommended product.
4 Stars Very good HD monitor & TV
Purchased monitor [...]worth every penny. Went from a 19″ and my desktop almost doubled with the 1920×1080 resolution. Has a built-in TV tuner to hookup an antenna for local TV in high def. Only complaint, the monitor stand is not adjustable nor does it swivel. Another minus (in my opinion) is the lack of a built-in USB hub, which my prior did have, and it was convenient.
5 Stars Great Computer Monitor! + HDTV is nice to have as well.
I bought this monitor to replace my old Samsung 17″ monitor.
It has been a wonderful replacement so far.
A couple things to note:
1. The monitor does not have a height adjustment but it does have front to back tilt built into the stand.
2. Make sure to securely tighten the screw under the base when attaching the stand to the monitor several people have complained the stand is wobbly if you do not tighten this screw tightly it will be.
This is a great monitor do yourself a favor and buy it.

5 Stars Many Inputs – Great Price
The monitor not only is from LG, a good reliable company, but it also comes at a great price! The picture quality is excellent! It has composite, component, 2 HDMI, DVI, and VGA inputs. Also has a tv tuner built in. If you’re looking for a nice sized monitor/tv at a great price, this is the product for you.
5 Stars wonderful little monitor/tv
This has great pic and brillant color. have in bedroom and has plenty of volume
3 Stars bad sound
The picture is good and bright but the sound special human voice is distorted. Plus that total volume is too low and no audio output jacket. If you use it as computer monitor I think is OK. This unit has many input that is the reason I picked it.
5 Stars Excellent Dual function Monitor/TV
I purchased this item and delivery was fast from California… The items box is very small and well packaged. I save all my item boxes for at least a year, in case I need to sell or ship an item back.
I read the 4 previous reviews that were here prior to purchasing this item, so I knew its faults like weak speaker output. But I wanted the item for my bedroom TV viewing (where i use low volume or headphones), and also to use it as a Computer Monitor for my 2nd desktop computer. This way I can switch from the HDTV over to the monitor (at HD quality 1920×1200 coming from a connected HD4770 – HD quality computer video card), then connect to HULU online and catch up on my missed TV episodes, or scan the web, or play video games. This thing is just great. I’ve got another HDTV in the living room and the ATSC tuner in this thing picks up more channels that any other HD tuner that I used, whether it be in an HDTV or an HD tuner card for the computer (both internal & external – and I’ve went through about all of them).
The main thing for me is picture quality… and this thing has it. It is just GREAT! It blows away my other HD set in the living room. Also the specs were not really covered properly by either amazon or the manufacture on its website. It says it only has an ATSC tuner, but it has 3 tuners. It will collect HD, QAM, and NTSC, but it only has 1 catv input (that’s always the trouble with these things, never enough of something). I guess you could connect this thing into a dual-tuner system, like a TIVO HD tuner and have it made. But it does have a lot of other connections on the rear for inputs, and I manage with that.
One thing about the remote, is there are not a lot of options on it. I like what my other hdtv remote has, it allows me to press SKIP (for 30 sec intervals), so if I am watching a channel and a commercial comes on I press SKIP 4 times, then go channel surfing, and when the 4×30sec ends, it automatically goes back to my program… I like that feature, but its not on this LG.
Now as for the volume deficiency my solution to this was to by a cheap, yet high quality, portable powered speaker system (battery/usb powered) that has a 3.5mm input/usb connections. This allows me to plug my powered speaker (FiiO – S9) into the LG HDTV headphone jack (I read where 1 reviewer said the was no audio out jacks, but there is.. a headphone jack). Then when I use the LGs remote control I can adjust the volume output and quality coming out of the FiiO (because its plugged in to the headphone jack). I purchased my FiiO-S9 on ebay for $30, but now I see that amazon has it cheaper here:
http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-S9-Portable-Speaker-Players/dp/B002L4AEA4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1255467577&sr=8-4
Plus now I have a very nice powered speaker system that runs on 4 AA batteries. I can take it anywhere, (in the car, camping, etc) plug-in mp3 players, guitars, or whatever I want into it.
I guess 1 star could be taken off for the speakers, but not by me cause I found an easy solution to fix the problem
buy 1 of these TVs & I think you will enjoy it, I am.
I hope this helps clear some things up
5 Stars Great as Monitor and TV
Just bought this set at amazon.
Wow I’m impressed! Very crisp image, clear menus, lots of inputs, just enough sound quality and great looks.
Works wonderful with my netbook using the PC connection. Full 1920×1080 instantly!
Worked well too using a DVI-D to HDMI adaptor as a second monitor for my desktop computer. It has the DVI-D input but I currently don’t have the cable.
Image is outstanding… Deep blacks and intense whites. It’s on par to my 32″ XBR6 Sony LCD. I’m very happy to have chosen this set instead a plain LCD monitor I wanted. It worth the extra $100.
As a TV using cable input, digital channels look great and regular channels look very good.
Still need to check a Full HDMI video source (not a PC).
