4 Stars Good for kitchen and other small places
There’s not a whole lot to add to the other reviews. It’s a nice little TV for the money and the only real “name brand” to come in such a small size.
Positives:
* Nice picture for the price and size
* Small size — perfect for kitchen, etc
* The sound was surprisingly good, much better than I was expecting
The only real negatives are:
* How long it takes to change channels. I haven’t timed it but it feels like a good 4-5 seconds for over the air tuning.
* Non adjustable stand. It’s not a really big negative for where I have it set up, but it’s something that may be a problem for others.
The only thing I would change is no DVD player and knock a few dollars off the price. I suppose it’s convenient to have it built in but I’ve never used it to play a DVD (I think I’ve played a music CD in it twice in four months) but it seems all models in this size / price range have built in players. It doesn’t detract from the functionality or seem to add to the overall size, so I guess it’s just a matter of what you’re using it for.
The DVD player and the channel changing delay are the only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that I would highly recommend this TV.
4 Stars tv-dvd combo
Happy with this combo. We replaced an old, box of a tv in the kitchen and gained a lot of counter space. It is just the right size for a kitchen counter. We just hooked up the old rabbit ears and the Toshiba delivers great picture and sound quality without a fancy new antenna. As others have noted there is a pause when switching channels, but that is but a minor annoyance.
5 Stars Toshiba 15LV505
Great TV – and I really like the built-on DVD player as well. great picture – sound is good for such a small set. Works great in our camper.
4 Stars nice picture on a good little television but…
This is a really nice little television. We replaced our under-the-cabinet television with this one. The picture quality is excellent as well as the sound and look of the television. However like other reviewers said, when you are switching channels, there is an uncomfortably long (3-4 second) delay before the channel switches.
4 Stars Toshiba 15″ TV
This TV has a great picture unless you are viewing at an angle. I bought it for my RV. I returned it because the TV shelf in the RV is near the ceiling and we were viewing from the couch below. When standing the TV has a great picture but when watching from the couch, which is lower, the picture was very dark.

3 Stars Pretty good so far, really 3.5 stars
Have had this set for about 5 months now and am happy with it. PC mode is really easy and the picture is great. Initial setup was simple, even though the owners manual was worthless. I like the OPC feature a lot as this is in an area of my house that has frequent light changes. My one gripe is about the model itself. There is no real support on the Sharp website and thus no support for me to use my Harmony One remote. I wanted to just check for software updates on the Sharp site; “model not found” was all the website said no matter what format I typed in. The store I got mine from said this was the newest model, but now I wonder if it is just a “gap” model. Anyway, great TV for the money, I just wonder if I should have got the Samsung I was looking at first….
3 Stars where are the bolts
Picture is sharp, however thewre were no bolts to mount the standing braccet to the tv.I emailed vendor but they refused to help.can you help?
5 Stars Amazing Flat Screen so far
I saw that Amazon was selling this product and it was a really good price. I had been looking around and was not happy with the small Televisions I saw at the stores – they just seemed cheap. The picture was bad and the sound was poor. Based on specs of this new screen I decided to order it, sight unseen.
Man am I happy! First – the picture is beautiful. The colors are not fake, the skin tones are great and the picture is razor sharp. I am very picky about what passes for quality these days on flat screen panels, and this one is amazing.
Sound is bit pitchy, but its not horrific. I hooked it up to my computer to test that and things were amazing as well – was able to play FPS action without any problems.
Delivery was great. I ordered on Friday morning and had it ready to go on Tuesday Night.
I will come back if there are any issues but so far so good!

4 Stars cheap but good
wonderful
lowprice but good quality and need a home theater sound system
do not hesitate if you gonna buy tv
4 Stars Very good value
I have had the LG 37LH30 for about 3 weeks now. It seems to be an excellent TV and I would have given it 5 stars except for one thing. It has only one optical audio out and no RCA type audio outputs. That means I cannot run the audio out to a simple old amp to power my external speakers. I would need to buy a newer amp with optical audio inputs. The optical gives 5.1 audio, but I don’t have that sort of setup and do not have any 5.1 audio coming in anyway. Other than that it is doing a fine job. I have DVD, cable to the TV tuner, Tivo, PC-VGA and a cable set top box all coming in with inputs to spare. I went through hours of comparisons and feature filtering and am happy with the result.
5 Stars Awesome
So here’s the deal, I compared the 2008 model of this LG with a comparable Sony and Samsung. Side by side, feature for feature the LG put them both in the closet. Do yourself a favor and do the same if you’re thinking of buying a TV. As of this writing (mid March 2009) the 2009 model will be out approximately next week. The store I bought from gave me $100 discount if I bought and waited for the new model to arrive. I gladly obliged.
4 Stars LG 37LH30 LCD HDTV
I am not going to be very technical in this review, and since I don’t know about all those technical details that would give a rating of excellent, I gave it 4 stars. I had an expert set it up when I got Dish Network installed, so that it would work seamlessly with the receiver. (Which it did). The picture is clear, as clear as the 37″ Sony Bravia’s picture is in another room, and the LG cost at least $300.00 less. That means that I will be able to buy more “home theater” equipment to go with it.
2 Stars Be careful @ 60hz
I`ve owned a very nice 32″ LCD TV for about a year now.
I thought about going bigger & this TV was attractive &
priced just right.
When it came in I noticed the picture quality was less than
what I currently own.
A bit of investigation lead me to this:
When you get a TV set bigger than 32″ make sure it ie at
least 120hz. This is very important especially if you
are watching sports.
The “pixels” in a 60hz cannot keep up with fast action
thus causing a slight blur in the pic.
Unfortunately the description of this TV did not even mention
the HZ.
Makes me wander why cause it seems the makers are
dumping the lesser 60hz sets. Well, walla, answer:
A newer & better 240hz is just on the horizon. 4 times
the pixels & picture quality.
Guess it`s like everything else. BUYER BEWARE
