This little Omni mount is extremely well built, and assembled flawlessly. If, like me, you appreciate quality components, and exceptional fit and finish in a product, then you will love this little guy….very sturdy and simple to adjust. I paid only $40 including freight at Amazon, and it sells for $100 locally.
I am very pleased, and I am extremely fussy.

Very pleased with Amazon. Received product a day earlier than estimated. Good price. Local retailer wanted about 65% more than I paid. Installation was a little more difficult than it could be. First they should have included shorter “nuts” for the screws that attach the base to the bottom of the cabinet because if your cabinet bottom is less than 3/4″ thick you must fashon some sort of spacer to make it work. Secondly, these same screws require allen wrenches to tighten. One allen wrench is provided, but you need two (one on each end). I fortunately had extra wrenches but many people may not. Otherwise, product works as advertised.

1 Star I hate it – and I hate Samsung.
I purchased this television in early August and it was broken out of the box – bad LCD panel. I contacted Samsung and they talked me through troubleshooting tasks ad nauseum before, a month later, they had a technician come and take the television away. I now realize that Samsung was playing for time to exhaust the return period. What I am told now is that Samsung will not replace the television unless I have to have it repaired three times. The technician still has the television and doesn’t anticipate getting the parts to fix the television until maybe sometime next week – that’s a direct quote. I will never, ever, not ever purchase another Samsung product. I am making payments on a television that has spent more time in the repair shop than it has in my home. Beware.

I think this is a great purchase. I’m glad I got the “630″ because it operates at 120 Hz & I haven’t detected a blur in the picture. While I appreciate being able to choose between 3 sizes of text on the DIGITAL stations, I wish the same were true about the ANALOG stations. I only wish it had some kind of Channel Labeling to be used on the apparently unlimited “Favorite Stations” you can list. It would be a great help when checking out your favorite stations. If it’s there, I can’t find it. Other than that, I can’t find anything negative to say about this item. I’ll only add that in choosing between 40″ & 46″, I’m glad I opted for the larger & you should have a couple of adults on hand for removal from the carton & set-up. While it’s not that heavy, it is a bit large for one person. Also, get an appropriate Surge Protector, so as not to have any warranty problems.

Beautiful picture. We have lots of windows and there is hardly any glare on the screen on sunny days. The sound system is plenty adequate unless you want a surround system. Remote is easy to use and intuitive. Would definitely buy another Samsung TV.

Installed this in a travel trailer for a 19″ LCD/DVD combo TV.
I can swivel the TV out of the way when necessary and tilt/angle it for the best viewing angle. I slip the TV off the wall and use it in my office when not traveling.

5 Stars A wonderful Item and a real surprise.
I bought this item for a 19″ flat panel TV for my daughter’s room. It wasn’t an expensive set and I didn’t want to spend almost as much for the TV mount as I did for the TV. At such a low price I figured I couldn’t resist and I would take my chances. I am glad I did. This is just as well made as the $100 mount I bought a few years ago. However, it has a built in level, making installation a breeze. Mine included all hardware necessary to install it and to mount it to a variety of TV’s. The item connected to my TV without any extra attachements, but the box included several extra plates to account for variations in TV size. It even included a mini studfinder with working batteries, and I cannot say I have ever had a studfinder included in a package. I was thrilled with this purchase. I actually feel like I paid too little for what I received, which is always good.

Purchased this TV for master bedroom. Perfect size as room is quite large, 19′ x 20′, and you can easily see the picture and read the screen text from the bed. Colors and clarity as well as resolution are outstanding. TV arrived in a couple of days and setup was easy. Great value from Amazon….

i bought this from a seller i found on amazon at christmas time and i dealt with them directly. i got this for $536.00 over two months ago after much research with no tax and free shipping. it showed up at my door 2 days later. i bought this for my bedroom and it’s been played a lot! i could’nt be happier with it! the picture is stunning! a clear, crisp and sharp picture! the contrast ratio is only 10,000-1 so it looks better as the day wears on but i’m telling you the picture and clarity is first rate! you only need 720p for a hdtv 32″ or smaller so my requirments when deciding on a bedroom tv were: 32″, the $500.00 price range, a name brand, the best overall tv possible at the best price and a high energy star rating because i sleep with it on all night. after looking at sony,samsung,toshiba and others i decided on this one. panasonic has been building quality tv’s for 50 years and this set proves it and it has the highest energy star rating in it’s class. even the sound is good, not as deep and rich sounding as the 46″ $3,000.00 hd/lcd samsung in my front room but for a $536.00 32″ lcd/tv pretty damn good!………p.s. for your living room hdtv you would want a 25,000-1 contast ratio or more for viewing in all kinds of light. my samsung is 25,000 – 1 and it looks great morning, noon and night in any kind of light!…………update 6/21/09………..after 6 months of ownership i couldn’t be happier with this unit! has met and exceeded all my expectations. good job panasonic!

I bought this one at the same time that I bought the 50″ plasma. Though I have already had a problem with the plasma, this one has been up to expectations. Easy to set up, and I have no idea what is meant in other reviews about green casts….the picture & color are excellent.

From the day we received this tv we have loved it. We did a lot of research and felt that the natural colors, the very fast and smooth motion flow and the crisp picture would be just right for us and we’ve not been disappointed at all.
5 Stars High style and high performance
I will admit up front that I am a complete HDTV newbie. I hung on to a 20 year old, 22 inch CRT color “monitor television” for far too long, in part because I do not watch much television programming (a bit of baseball, PBS, occaisional Law & Order reruns, that sort of thing) and in part because the whole HDTV techno nerd thing was too intimidating. After much online research and a few surreptitious visits to Big Box electronics stores, I finally settled on the 40XBR9 and bought it from an Amazon seller — and could not be more pleased with my selection. The picture quality is simply riveting. The menus are reasonably user friendly and I have not found it all that difficult to calibrate for optimum results in a softly lighted room. With minor tweaking, the factory defaults work well for most cable television programming. I used the CNET suggested calibration for movies on the 52XBR9, and it works very well on this 40 inch unit.
This is a beautiful television. The bezel is as slim as they come and is an unadorned, moderately glossy black. While it is not a small television, it is not too overbearing for a medium sized bedroom or office. Considering its slender bezel, and the fact that there are no visible speakers, the sound is more than adequate for watching most TV programming. I purchased a ZVOX 525 sound base and an OPPO blu ray player to go with it. I have yet to watch a blu ray disc, but upscaled DVDs like Ratatouille and Wall-E, with sound from the ZVOX, are incredibly crisp, vivid and detailed, with wonderfully natural color, deep, pure blacks and brilliant whites and grey tones.
The one down side is that the XBR9 is not very forgiving of poor quality source material. My local cable provider still offers a limited selection of true HD content. SD television does not fare well on this set, although with some tweaks you can get acceptable picture quality — ratchet down the sharpness so the poor resolution is not obvious, use a 4:3 aspect ratio rather than ’stretch’ the image to fill the screen, so the perspective is not distorted, turn down the brightness and restrict the color range to avoid the exaggerated and artificial hues that seem to be part and parcel of SD TV, and you get a reasonable picture on par with a decent CRT. But once you’ve seen good quality 16:9 HDTV content, you will be somewhat disappointed with SD sources.
This competes head to head with the high end LCD and “LED” TVs from Samsung. I think it beats them for at least two reasons. First, the Samsung models have a very glossy, “wet look” screen, which is really a distraction. Under some conditions, it gives the picture more “pop,” but except in a darkened room, the glare problem is insurmountable. Second, the comparable Samsung televisions have wider and more obtrusive bezels with a brilliant piano black finish, which is made even more garish by Samsung’s somewhat ludicrous red “Touch of Color” gimmickry. The Samsung design is like over the top prom wear. The 40XBR9 is the electronics version of the perfect, simple and refined little black dress.
Prices seem to fluctuate wildly — the prices quoted on the date of this review are about 15% higher than they were when I made my purchase ten days ago. You may want to keep an eye on the market and catch the next wave of “sales.” But you won’t buy this TV because it is an inexpensive “bargain” — you may buy it because dollar for dollar, it will give you the most pleasure during the years it will be in service.

I appreciated how easy it was to schedule the delivery – however the delivery itself was a little rough. Item was scheduled to arrive between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., when I called at 11 to check the status the driver hadn’t checked the paperwork and was back at the facility for ‘a meeting’. Still – he was back on the road and had delivered the telly by 11:45, not too bad.
Delivery aside, the product is great. Crisp and clear, and the perfect size for the room. I haven’t used all the bells and whistles yet, but so far the Sony Bravia and Verizon Fios are providing enough entertainment!

In searching for a HDTV for our new videoconference set up I had many options and many vendors but by far this was the best TV at an amazing price. I will definitely be returning to Amazon.com for future TV purchases.
5 Stars Great TV – Worth the Money
While this TV costs a bit more than your Vizio or some other Sam’s Club special it is well worth it. I bought it about a month ago and have loved it ever since I first hooked it up.
I have it hooked up to a Sony Blue-Ray BDPS360 player as well as my Bose Lifestyle V30 Surround Sound and various other equipment. The extra HDMIs are really nice and the ethernet capability is easy to set-up and use. It saw my Buffalo LinkStation Media Server without any problems and streams music perfectly. I look forward to streaming movies later this fall from Netflix. I was really impressed with the audio output as whenever you stream anything into it, the quality is nearly identical to if I hook my ipod up directly to my surround system.
I also have a friend that has the 52″ XBR9 and we both enthusiastically recommend any xbr9 Sony product.
The only problem I had was the first update that I needed to make on it, I had to use a USB flash drive instead of just using the network. After that though, I was able to make the next update over the LAN.
Please note while I have not tried it with this TV, my 32″ XBR 9 is not able to see my ipod when directly hooked up to the USB. I think Sony has a cradle you have to buy. Maybe this will change with future firmware updates.
